The Israeli cabinet has approved the release of 250 Palestinian prisoners after an earlier promise from outgoing Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

The prisoners, some of 11,000 held by Israel, will be freed in the West Bank.

An Israeli official said the move aimed to help bolster Palestinian PM Mahmoud Abbas's West Bank administration against Hamas, which rules in Gaza.

Israel freed 198 other prisoners in a similar move in August

Good for Israel.

Its going to take more than that to tame the Palestinians.

And still, Cpl. Shavit remains in captivity.

lol, do we have a Foriegn Prisoners essentialy ?
Cpl. Shavit (kidnapped) has been in Hamas captivity since 2006. It's well past time that he was released.

Were these Palestinian prisoners from Gaza or the West Bank? If they were indeed Hamas they never should have been released in the first place imo.

whats the ratio between the Palestinians captivities and the captivities you're talking about , its probably 100000:1

Shame on you, Ahmed.

I hope somebody shoots your camel!

Tashah is right. It's time for the Hezballah ****bags to call Iran and have Iran release the Israeli kidnapping victim they are ILLEGALLY holding.

Are you saying that it ok of Hezballah to kidnap people?

Are you saying that now that the war is over that Hezballah shouldn't be required to release hostages, prisoners, ect...?

Is this a double standard I sense?
