My Dad is 93, lives in an ALF and still wears a watch...he's a stickler for time, always has been...if I say I'm comin' to see him, "Well, what time do you think you'll be here?" If I'm 5 minutes late, "Well, where have you been?"...lol...

Some people need structure and purpose in retirement. I'm more laid back about it.
Off topic a bit but an interesting story about retirement. In Vancouver a couple retired at the same time. They decided they would be disciplined about getting their day started. They'd get up, get dressed up and go for breakfast at the local Sheraton Hotel.
The wife passed away and when Sheraton renovated the restaurant they named it "Harold's". The walls were covered in posters with Harold photoshopped in (Harold with The Beatles etc).
I haven't been back to Vancouver in about 10 years but the last time I was there Harold was at his usual table, in a suit and tie.

That's crazy! Suit and tie? FTR I am also the oldest and even though I was much like my Dad when younger, after retirement, I've mellowed, much more laid back for sure...
From a parents perspective my first one was spoiled and held like she was a glass doll and fed the best wholesome food. The second reaps from my experience and gets to explore more, and eat what she likes, my third, I couldn't even find him half the time. lol I'm glad he made it!!
