Well, this arises early in the morning after Steph Curry sets the record for most 3-pointers in an All-Star game. Steph is apparently of mixed race. Any connection?

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHA. Took me a minute.

Is the word "curry" racist?
I am interested to hear what you think about it.

FYI: This questions seems to be an old hat in the USA.
But I read about it only a few days ago in a German article.

It will be no use to link to that article.

Later I googled for an article in English and I will now google again.
And link the article here.

It is not as if I knew all this "all along".

Here is an article in English now:

The un-woke complaining about the woke again?

How would he answer the question whether "curry" is a racist word? :)

Wardell Stephen Curry II (/ˈstɛfən/ STEF-ən; born March 14, 1988[1]) is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Widely regarded as one of the greatest point guards of all time and as the greatest shooter in NBA history,[2] Curry is credited with revolutionizing basketball by inspiring teams and players to routinely utilize the three-point shot

I have read the article.
Maybe that person did not use the word "racist" - but she implied it.
And she demanded that the word "curry" should be cancelled.
And I am no friend of this fanatic and arrogant woke "cancel culture" that wants to forbid all kinds of completely innocent words.

Indian chef hits back at woke blogger for curry 'racist' claim 'Just simple to understand'

GB news is the semt-fascist equivalent of Fox in the USA.

Coincidentally, I was just watching a series about firefighters in the North of England, and one of the crew was making a meal for the team. He was singing the praises of a good curry, and teasing his colleague that him being Asian and unable to make curry was letting their side down! There's a stereotype, from an Asian!

Are you trying to conjure a storm in a teacup, Rumpel? This seems like an utter non-controversy.

Are you trying to conjure a storm in a teacup, Rumpel?
Or maybe a storm in a curry bowl - or whatever? :)
I agree that there may be more important things these days now.
So just take it as an excursion in the field of linguistics. :)

Mulligatawny Soup is great!
What do those woke curry haters think of it?
