Or maybe liberals just think that gays have rights and smoking refer ain't no sin!
A new Pew Research survey seems to indicate that millenials, the age group from 18 to 33, tend to favor gay rights and marijuana legalization. and tend to vote for Democrats. I think it is highly likely that Democrats have embraced these two issues to drive a stake in the heart of the Republican party. Recall recently how Obama spoke in favor of marijuana legalization and came out in favor of gay rights.

The 17 year old who got a nice high off a joint with his girl, and sped off after only to run a stop sign and kill my brother and his girl friend thinks it's a sin.

So what killed the girl, the guy driving the car or the joint? That's like blaming alcohol instead of blaming the drunk driver. I thought you were about personal responsibility? Guess not.
You must blame guns instead of the people that use them too right? oh wait, it's all different to you because it's weed.
Why is it that every time the Democratic Party takes a socially liberal stance on an issue, the default argument is that they're just sucking up for votes?
Because its true.

We have a constitutional right to use firearms, not get high and go out and kill people. The only reason to legalize it is to stone up another generation so you leftist can enjoy controlling them.

Any time anyone talks about throwing more money at education, I cringe.
Doesn't matter, you are blaming an ITEM and not the person. You are no different then those blaming guns instead of the person. Guess you are a liberal after all since you don't believe in personal responsibility. Let me guess though, you don't believe in government making alcohol illegal either, just weed.
It does matter. Show me the right to keep and bear MJ in the constitution and if you can't please ignore me cause I'm going to ignore you. I cant's stand socialist that live under the "libertarian-left" mantra and pretend to be something they aren't.

Do you know the difference between decriminalization and legalization, because it isn't about how much regulation is involved with the sell or purchase of a product. For the foreseeable future, there will be some regulation by various governing bodies over the sell, possession, growth, and even taxation of marijuana. It will likely be treated like alcohol and cigarettes.
Decriminalization of marijuana has actually happened in more states than legalization of marijuana has. Decriminalization means removing criminal penalties from marijuana use or possession of small quantities (although there could still be some civil penalties), whereas legalization removes all forms of punishment for any possession of marijuana (with possible exceptions based on age or violation of regulations in place for it) and allows for it to be grown and regulated.

Wait, the democrats don't give a crap about gays and pot, and are just using them for votes??? I am shocked!

Well, obviously, smoking pot makes you lazy. And lazy people don't want to work to get ahead in life, so they vote in socialist policies in order to avoid doing so, and get handouts. Also they don't like having to work to hide their completely reasonable desire to smoke weed, so they vote to legalize it.Wait, what? Marijuana legalization is now socialist?
Republicans don't give a crap about guns or abortions, and are just using them for votes.
I'd guess that a FEW give a crap.Republicans don't give a crap about guns or abortions, and are just using them for votes.

I'd say it falls in the DoI that states "We hold these truths to be sacred & undeniable; that all men are created equal & independent, that from that equal creation they derive rights inherent & inalienable, among which are the preservation of life, liberty, & the pursuit of happiness."
