The truth?Perhaps you have not yet learned what "reminds me of" means.
Why does the remark hurt you so much?
Does the truth hurt?
More nonsense, it is always either the English Tories or the English Labour party which have ruled in parliament. If you hadn't just selectively quoted me you would know who is the only one in Westminster who has the right and the might to determine what happens in the UK parliament and gotvernment. To claim they all determine the course is ludicrous nonsense. Which is obvious from the rest of my previous post that you hacked away:Read up. The UK is a democracy consisting of the English, Welsh, Scots and N.Irish.
They all determine the course. It's stupid to suggest otherwise.
More dishonesty, I did not call all British people idiots or morons, that comment was about the English who supported Brexit for ridiculous reasons like believing Farage and the utter buffoon of the world Boris Johnson. That is true. Why suggest that I think they all have a chip on their shoulder when I have never said this?
Others may disagree with Brexit but don't choose to call British people idiots or morons, as you have.
You have an obviously very large chip on your shoulder regarding the UK, as your continual anti-British posts here bear testament.
You need to get over your bitterness and move on with your life.
Brexit is done and dusted.
Strange, because I am pretty certain it is you who continually cries on this forum about people who think it is a good thing the constantly feet dragging English are out of the EU.Better than some bitter Netherlander who continually cries on the internet over Brexit and who just doesn't seem capable of accepting that the British people have voted to no longer be part of the EU.
I feel your pain....but move on.
More nonsense
that comment was about the English who supported Brexit for ridiculous reasons
and don't let the door hit you on the way out English
. . . and technologically, and medically, and educationally, and socially, and . . . . etc.It is a superpower.. economically and politically.
Lol!Brexit is done, so goodbye and don't let the door hit you on the way out
Well, if we're judging the vaccine rollout as a qualification for being a superpower the EU's going about it rather better than Australia:The EU meeds to up its game when it comes to efficiency if it wants to become a Superpower :
"EU Faces 100 Billion-Euro Price Tag for Bungled Vaccine Push"
"The European Union is facing a cost of tens of billions of euros for the slow and chaotic rollout of coronavirus vaccinations compared to countries such as the U.K. and U.S."

.
Well, if we're judging the vaccine rollout as a qualification for being a superpower the EU's going about it rather better than Australia
Yes, I'm sure there are many Europeans admiring the Australian vaccine rollout, currently being outperformed by Kazakhstan.Australia had its first Covid death this year on 11 July 2021.
The first Covid death in fact since October last year.
So you're probably more at risk here from the effects of the vaccine than you are from Covid....so Australians are not rushing to be vaccinated.
Unlike Europe, where people have, until recently, been dying in their tens of thousands.
In any case, who has suggested (other than you) that "we're judging the vaccine rollout as a qualification for being a superpower".
The poor vaccine rollout by the EU has been seen by most intelligent people in Europe as chaotic and inefficient.....not quite the performance expected from a Superpower.
"The EU's lethargic vaccine rollout suffered from a lack of appetite for risk, a "mistrust" of public-private partnerships and an inability of countries to act alone, the bloc's Brexit negotiator (Michel Barnier) has admitted."

Europe’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout ‘unacceptably slow’: WHO
Just 10 percent of the region’s total population of 900 million have received one vaccine dose, UN health agency says.www.aljazeera.com
Is understanding facts that difficult? The vast majority of seats in the UK parliament are English seats, this means all the regions have nothing or almost nothing to say when it comes to making decisions. That is always done by English MP's and the parties who have been in the government have since years and years only been from English political parties. So stop acting like facts are too difficult to understand. That you are democracy does not mean that the Northern Irish, Scottish or Welsh have a say in Westminster politics and in UK governments. This in reply to my statement : "The UK is a democracy consisting of the English, Welsh, Scots and N.Irish."
So the UK is NOT a democracy?
You are now not debating but simply stating incorrect facts.
I suggest that you look up the word democracy.
You are now being totally ridiculous in your attempts to "win" a debate.
You do know that a xenophobe is? I would only be a xenophobe if I were an Scottish person for example and was hateful to all English people in Scotland. So your insults do not extend to the millions of Scots, Welsh and N.Irish who supported Brexit?
But only the English?
Where do you get all your Xenophobic nonsense?
And the only way this has to do with a European Super Power is when we let Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (or a united Ireland) back into the EU.Lol! Your bitterness and anger are getting the better of you again, hence the Xenophobia. You are sounding hysterical.
You seem incapable of understanding that the UK is not like independent nations in Europe who can't vote in each others elections.
There are 800 000 Scots living in England.
There are 610 000 Welsh people living in England.
Those who wish to vote are registered and vote in ENGLAND.
There are 295 000 Northern Irish people living in Britain. Many are registered to vote in ENGLAND.
Many English live in Scotland, Wales and NI.....and CAN VOTE there.
So to claim that everyone who votes in England is English is simply absolute rubbish.
The British are extremely interbred. I have relatives from England, Scotland and Wales as well as the Irish Republic.
You need to get over your feelings of rejection. It can't be good for you.
Insulting the Brits who voted for Brexit, which is the majority, is really small minded.
Lol!
So you spend years on this website, posting hundreds of times here, whinging because of Brexit and you now expect others to believe that you are glad Brexit happened and that the UK is no longer part of the EU?

What a massive contradiction.

I think the EU will flourish now that we do not have the big whiny Brits to deal with when making agreements and deals. But the EU will not move forward into one nation and will deal with some of the issues which the British had with the EU.
I think for the UK it will be a less rosy time.
https://debatepolitics.com/threads/how-will-brexit-go-w-46.282252/post-1067033936Re: How will Brexit go?
Well, in some cases you really did. Making a consensus is much more difficult with the UK in it IMHO.
Nonsense. You cannot be xenophobic towards people in an other country.
I would have hoped the English had used some common sense and not listened to all the lying brexiteers
How will Brexit go is me saying that the EU will be better off without the whiny UK government holding up the decisions making process.
Europe's biggest military power is France...well technically Russia, but France is the biggest in western Europe. The UK is on par with Germany in second place. Can the EU be a Super Power without the UK :
"The absence of Europe’s biggest military power (UK) from EU discussions could lead to future problems."
"Internally, the EU has seen the continued rise of populist, eurosceptic forces; a slow-down in the eurozone economy; and disagreements between leading member-states over the future direction of the Union."
"The UK fought successfully for mechanisms to ensure transparency of decision-making and give non-euro countries a voice; post-Brexit, those countries may find it harder to protect their interests."
"With Europe’s biggest pool of capital, the City of London, soon to be outside of the EU’s regulatory purview, the EU will need to decide whether to pursue an insular CMU, or instead open up its market to London and the rest of the world."

The EU will struggle to be a Super power without the UK.
