An innocent charged with a crime should always take the plea bargain and show a ton of remorse in front of the parole board.
Otherwise you might be exonerated after twenty some years when you could have lied and been out fifteen years ago.
That's how the justice system works. Everyone in the joint professes innocence until the parole review. Money might have kept you out, but it's too late for that. Money won't help the found guilty prisoner.
