Nope, that was just a simple phrasing-error, a rarity compared to the dozens that have piled up at your door. Clearly I meant to write that you were claiming that the Union did fight to liberate slaves, going by your original remark that the Civil War was a "cultural/human rights clash." I responded that the North had no concern for "human rights" when they went to war. Your original characterization of the Civil War remains specious and uninformed.
