so you advocate burning hundreds of billions of dollars of equipment?sounds kinda stupid the gear we use in iraq and afghanistan is so freakin retarded expensive,i dounbt anyone can advocate throwing it out with the deficit the way it is,oh and wed have to pay even more money to replace it when the war is over.
explain how throwing away what takes some units decades to aquire is in anyway fonancially sound.
Ok, let me explain it this way. We have no use for that equipment. We have no business fighting wars. We have become to weak to fight to win. We should burn it all and bring our troops home.
I am old soldier, I understand that it takes time to acquire the equipment required to fullfill TOE. I am just frustrated with our politicians and there lack of understanding when it comes to warfare and what it takes to accomplish the mission.
I agree with you. It is precisely because I dont trust the politicians that I want to end the war.I am old soldier, I understand that it takes time to acquire the equipment required to fullfill TOE. I am just frustrated with our politicians and there lack of understanding when it comes to warfare and what it takes to accomplish the mission.
After the most recent events in Afghanistan, is it time to cut our losses and bring the troops home?

I agree...I did not like the questions so I did not vote.
Won't that equipment be useful when the USA invades Syria and then Iran?Ok, let me explain it this way. We have no use for that equipment. We have no business fighting wars. We have become to weak to fight to win. We should burn it all and bring our troops home.

"cut and run"? funny, you suggesting the troops would be "running" from anything. Our job is done there time to bring them home, your inflammatory language is noted.
are you really this petty?
Petty? As a war veteran I find the use of "cutting and running" from from likes who would never personally "go" in the first place, annoying.

Yeah well, you find the Veterans against the war annoying too, so.................?
So the answer would be yes, it was...cut and run was used to mean withdraw from conflict...maybe if you weren't so anxious to find fault in every one of my posts, you might add something constructive to a conversation...might be too much to ask, i know...
hey, unlike you I was willing to go, you would think you would have more respect for the troops instead of using inflammatory language given they were willing to do that you were not. this is part of your issue, you use trollish, inflammatory language, then you pretend to wonder why you are not received well. Spending 10 years in country, we, would not be "cutting and running" as the job is done.
I respect veterans against the war, the Veterans against the Iraq war group however is a schill group, who is notably quiet these days.
I know many veterans against the war, so I no not what your point is. Thanks.
Funny, no one in the last 65 posts prior to yours was offended by my "trollish, inflammatory language"...one other poster didn't agree with my wording, but didn't feel the need to attack me, he just went on and added his comments...
you are the troll who has absolutely NOTHING to add to any intelligent conversation which you show time and time...
you fool no one.
What "intelligent conversation" have you contributed? Your opening post was nothing more than "der der der should After the most recent events in Afghanistan, is it time to cut our losses and bring the troops home?"
that was it, no analysis, just a simple question. Please, by all means, what is your opinion, or is it a "secret".
