Is it time for us to retire old glory?

The positive stuff is not ignored.

The negative stuff is what is ignored, and covered up, and written out of history.

People naturally don't want to talk about the negative stuff, and the mainstream media accommodates that emotion.

Would one of the colors represent normal people? Even still, a gay-themed flag would be a bit much to represent the entire country. What about the other 95%?

It is all personal views. I look at the flag and don't come to the conclusion it represents racism, bigotry, etc.

If you break the law, you risk prosecution and punishment. That is a fact of life we all know and all accept in a civilized society.

Taxation as theft is purely insanity and willful right wing delusion.

Yeah, our flag's pretty **** too. The Union Jack needs to go, and some sort of indigenous recognition wouldn't hurt. There's no reason a nation's symbols shouldn't evolve alongside the nation, we've only had our current national anthem for 25 years.
