I got a warning because I posted in 'breaking news' without providing a link. TOT did not provide a link and I mentioned it in his thread like someone did in my thread but unlike me nothing was done to him.
So, is it ok to break the rules when you have 10,000 posts or more or some other reason that I don't know of?

Shal I hazard the guess that you are a repeat ofender while TOT is not?

So what you are saying is that its OK to break the rules as long as you are not a repeat offender?
First time offenders are not subject to the rules here?
No, I have had only two warnings here.

BTW: Why would you stick up for someone that has broken the rules here?

I'd guess that it didn't get noticed.

If you would please be so kind as to report the thread in question it would
be a help.

Please don't misunderstand me, I am not posting this to get anyone punished. And your explanation of it probably did not get noticed and I didn't report it is satisfactory.
Thanks for the explaination.

It matters that he is well informed, always makes a lot of sense and is sincerely concerned with America's well-being.

That was unnecessary.

I mean, SS1 wouldn't be here if he didn't care, and Dp is neutral towards the Wot and the WiI.

Your Mom's post is unnecessary.

...

I thought we had connected!

It would be safe to assume that folks who trip up only ocasionaly would get only a warning in PM, something you would never know about.

So, is it safe to assume that you are a repeat trouble maker and have placed yourself under the watchfull eye of the mod team, as oposed to some poor, innicent first timer who is being brutalized by a mod with a chip on their sholder?

My defult position is with the mod team. If you would throe a stone then you must first not be in a glass house, ya dig?

Jerry, if you had read the thread, you have found out that the issue was that one of your buddies tattled on Sargeant Stinger1 and he on the other hand simply mentioned the problem to the OP and did not act like a tattletale.

I'm sorry I missed that.

So am I corect in understanding that Sarg's post was reported while TOT's was not?

Yes, thank you.

Well then there you have it Sarge, it's not a matter of Mod bias or 10,000 posts but of what is reported and what is not.
---
Yup, I understand now. To be truthfull I don't know if I would have clicked the 'report this thread' or not.
But I will click it when it gets personal. Well I might but I think a pm would be the better route to take first.
I have stopped my personal attacks not only because I was warned but because its just not right to do. I was posting in the middle of the night when I was tired but couldn't sleep and that had a lot to do with it.
I'm learning!
I've only had 2 warnings.
BTW: I am a well liked man cool and calm and I never or get mad much but when it comes to our :2usflag: Troops lives :2usflag: and well being I see red.
And of course you must know by now that I love the smileys here.

I will take responsibility for this one. I saw SergentStinger1's in-thread comment about there being no link in the OP. I checked it, late Friday night. TOT didn't have a link in his OP, but he claimed one was coming. He immediately posted one in his second post, so I let it go. It had nothing to do with anything else.

I have no problem with what you did and how you handled it.
Just so I will know how much of a leway do you give waiting for the link?

Speaking for myself, it needs to be in the immediate next post. The OP would be post #1, the link had better be in post #2 or I'll issue an infraction.
