It depends on who has what opinion. It would be quite controversial for Pope Benedict to come out in favor of Gay marriage, and conversely, it would be just as controversial for Elton John to come out against it.
So to me, it depends on the situation.
For the most part, I'd say neither stance is controversial. But in teh right circumstances, they can be equally controversial.
Well its certainly not something I would bring up over a business lunch.
Men and women contemplating should be happy and gay; but in these screwball times, this is nigh impossible...
No vote as usual.
We do need real men to stand up and not support any homosexual marriage..
Our nation has many more important things to handle..
The drug problem
The crime problem
unemployment
education
oil
environmentalists
skin-heads
nazis
criminal gangs
budget deficit
trade imbalance
This homosexual thing should be swept under the rug and placed in the trash can...
there are homosexuals around them...
Sorry, that line sounds like the plot of a terrible B-movie.
"Homosexuals Among Us"
Starring Eric Roberts and Dean Cane.
Scarecrow, I have never thought you so reasonable as I do right now.

The legal aspect is tertiary at best.
