I voted no but only because there is no such thing as 'evil.' For that matter there is no such thing as 'god.'

Is celebrating the loss of freedom of speech and the 1st Amendment extremely unpatriotic and anti-American?

Yes.
 
He was fired for saying something stupid and untruthful. It happens all the time. Nobody's fault but his own. I don't celebrate or angry for his firing.....it has nothing to do with me nor was I involved in any way, shape or form. It is what it is, I guess.

There's always a way to spin anything towards the political, gain sympathy, fuel anger, avenge justice, etc. Trump didn't fire him.

No, it's not. But canceling him because of a tyrant's wishes is. ABCs parent company execs are a bunch of *******. This is classic fascism. Firs thing Hitler did was attack the media he didn't like. This is not the first time Trump has threatened media. And not the first time they have caved.

Sure, the celebrating of the firing of Kimmel is EVIL!

After all, celebrating the firing of Kimmel has nothing to do with emotions or partisan politics or personal feelings, it's the DEVIL making people celebrate the firing of Kimmel.

If you don't like it, change the channel. He did nothing wrong. All he did was piss off Trump and or Miller. Fascist reaction from the FCC chief directed by the WH. Chicken-shit reaction by ABC executives. They would have won had they stood their ground.

BS, he screwed up and let his partisan anger blind him to truth. Instead of having compassion on a grieving widow and her children, he spoke lies. Now he found out what happens when one lies on national TV.....maybe more of them will begin telling the truth.
 
So now Kimmel is free to run for president in 2028.

I used to, but now I just think they are useful idiots all dressed up as 'an intellectual' like on Halloween night. Speaking lies, false narratives on a daily basis as if they are speaking the "intellectual gospel" to the other useful idiots.
 
The question's dubious because the network has said "pre-empted indefinitely," but has not officially cancelled the show or fired Kimmel. This is essentially hiatus brought about by the network wanting to keep a low profile after Kimmel's remarks. ABC has done the same to the View once or twice and that show is still airing. The company has too much money tied up in Kimmel to cancel him outright, particularly when he said something a lot of the bosses may well agree with. We don't know exactly what passed between ABC and the FCC and until we do we can't judge if this constitutes government coercion or ABC breaking an established rule. I voted no on my reading of the question: no, it is not wrong to suspend Kimmel for using an entertainment show as a bully pulpit-- this, as opposed to ABC/Disney going after Gina Carano for private remarks on social media. I will note that if Kimmel was given the opportunity to modify his rash and possibly illegal remarks and chose not to do so, everyone else professionally involved with the show has now been penalized by his stance, whether they agreed with Kimmel's stance or not.

He runs a comedy act. No different than Fox News acknowledging that Tucker's show was entertainment and no one should believe what he says.

Kimmel lost his show 100% because Trump/Miller wanted him canceled and his bosses chickened out like little *******. Nothing more, nothing less.

It’s human nature for those ideologues, die hard believers in their political ideology to celebrate the demise of someone on the other side or opposite of their firmly held political beliefs. Does that make it evil? Evil is a concept that is subjective to one’s own beliefs, political, religious, morality etc. There are also degrees of evil, but that too is subjective to each person for whatever reason they have to view something or someone evil.

It didn’t bother me that there were those who celebrated the death of Kirk, it doesn’t bother me there are those who celebrate the removal of Kimmel. That just who they are along with their own human nature to celebrate when something happens to those who hold opposite political views, who own political views are hard core.

But what does bother me is not the celebrations, it’s the Trump regime using the power of government, the direct threat to pull ABC/Disney’s broadcast license if they didn’t remove Kimmel. That is an act of silencing political opposition and criticism using the power of government. Whichever side of the political spectrum one is on, this should be opposed to the max.
