I'll take it one step further, not apologizing is a sign of bullheaded, stubbornness and self-exalting pride...and we all know what they say about pride...Proverbs 16:18...

Pride is good?

Not hard to tell who are the adults in the room.

The ones dictating that they are right about apologizing being a strength?

Who said that? Certainly not the Bible...did you even read the Proverb? No...no you didn't...

Why did you ask a question if you knew the answer?

There are always too many people thinking with the wrong head.

Are you thinking about sex during this discussion?

I apologize.... sorry.

So, according to your previous statement, you are saying you are immature and weak? What are you saying?

Once again, are you teaching your students these 'ethics' that one should never give an apology?

It is fairly clear what I am saying...

Once again, are you teaching your students these 'ethics' that one should never give an apology?

Is you bringing up some scenario about what I teach supposed to be some kind of insult? Why would any teacher teach kids about apologies during history?

My kids have not been in school since the last one graduated in 2005 but I would hope teachers are still setting a good example for their students in having/displaying character...of course I realize there are a few exceptions...

Teachers are...

Perhaps the best character in the surprisingly good book series, the Expanse, is Chrisjen Avarasala. I'd love to throw a couple of her pungent quotes on responsibility and maturity in here. But her best lines hasn't been put on the internet yet, and there is no way I am going to hunt through several books for 2 or 3 sentences.

Yes, because the only place one buries the hatchet is in someone's skull.

A sign of respect is never pathetic.

How would you know? Those that believe as you do never apologize for their demeaning and attacking behavior on others with different beliefs. See your posting history.

Not at all. However, it should be sincere. Sorry gets overused. If you aren't sorry, you shouldn't say it. Saying, "I'm sorry sir, but you need to wait behind the line," is incorrect. "Please sir, wait behind the line," is correct.

By the same token, someone who never apologizes or acknowledges ever doing or saying anything incorrectly, is just wrong. I'd say that is a big time personality flaw.

Being able to accept when wrong and learn from/correct/apologize is required for success and growth. Being incapable or unwilling to do so is not just a sign of weakness it is a sign of impending failure if not eventual disaster. If this happens systematically in a position of authority it also destroys respect in the ranks and can lead to rebellion.

Required by whom? Certainly not you as you never apologize for any of your somewhat odd statements.

You should apologize for your above statement.
