Iran seeks to become major Mideast player

It MIGHT be relevant if we took down the USSR and dulled China by inviting them to more parties.

As I said, and as you continue to demostrate -- you don't have a clue as to what motivates these people.

LOL... that we did. It's you sir that has no idea as to what motivates people. It's wealth, power, respect and inviting them to more parties, believe me!

I am not saying that Israel is 100% right, because they are not. However, on balance, in the end they are more right than wrong. Israel simply wants to be left alone. Hamas and Hesbollah do not even recognize the right of a Jewish State to exist in the Muslim World.

Thank you for unabashedly illustrating your ignorance of world history and the motivations of Islamofascism.

What a crock of **** there have been about a thousand ceasefires since 1948 ceasefire is code for: "let's take a time out and let the terrorists regroup and resupply." The only insurance of peace is victory.

No it's converting or killing all the infidels or even their fellow muslims who aren't muslimy enough for them.

What about Jerusalem?

Israel will never be left alone if only for the reason that Israel proclaimed Jerusalem as its capital in 1950.

In any case, Iran will become a major Middle-East power/player, it already has with their being behind the Shiite movement's conflict with Israel, this was a brilliant move by Iran (in it's effort to distract attention from it's nuclear building program) and it send a message to the world that Iran has come on to it's own.

We already know that Iraq is greatly influenced by Iran.

We need to try to talk to the terrorist leaders, ask them if there is anything we can do to help each other, offer them aid, jobs, and respect in trade for leaving Israel and America alone, offer them a piece of the "pie". Once we sincerly put out the carrot-stick watch and see their own people urge them to "talk"!

I believe that it may well work. What we are doing now is certainly not working

You are about as clueless at jimmyjack.
And just as f00king stupid. You really think you can just talk to Iran? That right there shows me your just another spineless ***** enjoying rights you have nor ever will have to fight for. Iran wants on thing jacklass POWER and CONTROL OF the middle east.
God how can someone be so fooking stupid?
We have seen the way Iran desires peace dipchit! They held hostages for 444 DAYS! They blew up our F**KING EMBASSY YOU MORON!! THEN THEY BLEW UP THE MARINE BARRACKS! WE WERE THERE AS PEACEKEEPERS DUMBA$$.
But that doesn’t bother you one bit. Killing Americans, does it? I bet you enjoy watching the videos on the web. I personally feel we need to ship people like you to the countries you love so much and defend.

Get over it? I’ll get over it when they die.
Its people like you are the reason I’ll never be able to go to a DP reunion.
I’ll end up in the jail the very first fooking day.

Good for Iran!

I hope the United States takes notice that Iran is indeed a major player in the Middle East and gives Iran it's due respect!

Maybe then we will be able to establish a dialog that leads to a lasting peace!

TEHRAN, Iran - Iranian officials often say that places with the greatest troubles offer their country the best opportunities.

Iranian influence in Iraq has surged since the U.S.-led invasion three years ago. Its reach into Afghanistan continues to grow.

And now, the war in Lebanon could make Iran an even more important player in the Islamic world even as its militant Shiite Arab client, Hezbollah, gets pounded by Israel.

"Iran sees itself more than just the moral father of Hezbollah. Iran seeks to become a major force across the region as a counterbalance to America and Israel," said Ahmad Bakhshaiesh, a professor of political studies at Tehran's Azadi University.

"Lebanon is part of this plan," he said.

Already, officials and experts say that for any cease-fire or broader peace package to succeed, Iran's deep ties with Hezbollah must be taken into account.

Hezbollah could emerge from the battles severely weakened militarily, but with its reputation enhanced in the Muslim world for resisting Israel. That in turn would give Iran, a non-Arab country, an even higher profile in the Arab world — a prospect that frightens the Jewish state...

Lets just bomb them and get it over with. This country with it's threats and posturing deserves no respect. They deserve to be watched like dangerous little children in a glass shop. They are a terrorist nation with deep ties... No respect deserved no respect given

I could deal with turning them into a glass shop..

Iran seeks to become major Mideast player

....since Khomeini. Ahmenadejad's Iran is merely Khomeini's legacy.

There has to be a better way in ME. The U.S. has just done the same thing over and over, find someone who won't f with Israel and prop them up, which only works for awhile. Then there are hostilities or revolutions/coups and then the process starts over. I don't know the answer, but it seems this process can't go on forever.

No what we've constantly done is restrain Israel and force them into ceasefires and withdrawals that only allows the terrorists to regroup and resupply we have intervened when Israel was on the steps of Demascus we have tried negotiations with terrorists like Arafat and all of this has done nothing but to embolden the terrorists, it's time to let Israel of her leash so she can take a bite out of Hesbollahs fat ***.

KidRocks, you are so ignorant it is truly un-****ing-believable. If all Western countries decided tomorrow to resume full diplomatic and trade relations with Iran, accepted Iran's "right" to have a nuclear program, condemned Israel in the same terms that Iran does, and recognized the theocracy as the legitimate government of Iran...NOTHING would change. Iran would simply demand some new outrageous concession.

You truly have no concept of history. Why don't you abandon your dogmatic Jew-hating and come to the same realization that even the Arab nations are coming to: Iran threatens ALL of its neighbors.

Restrain Israel?

How about we rid ourselves of Israel and see how far they go without our 3 billion dollars a month in aid (handouts)?. How about we not supply them with our latest jet fighters nor our hi-tech aid?

Let us see how far Israel goes without our propping them up, frankly, I'm tired of seeing our hard-earned tax wages going to back Israel everytime they get "pissed off"!

Have you always been an idiot? 3 billion a month? Where did you get that number from? You pull it out of you’re a$$ like everything else you say? And frankly I’m tired of seeing dipchits like you twist the facts to support terrorists and the jackasses who aid them. If you hate the US that much I invite you to get the fook out and go live in your dream land, Iran.
Or why dont you join the Hamas and take up the fight against Israel..Lets see how long you last...

Or how bout we just blow the hell out of Iran instead?

We'd have to resort to that because we sure as hell can't beat the insurgents in Iraq can we?

History has shown that we can blow (nuke) countries back to the stone-age (Japan) but we sure as hell can't beat them on the battlefield (Vietnam, North Korea, Iraq)!

Such idiots...

"defended her decision not to meet with Hezbollah leaders or their Syrian backers"

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2006-07-21-mideast-whitehouse_x.htm

WASHINGTON (AP) — Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice rejected the "false promise" of an immediate cease-fire in the spreading war between Israel and Hezbollah on Friday and said she would seek long-term peace during a trip to the Mideast beginning Sunday.

The top U.S. diplomat defended her decision not to meet with Hezbollah leaders or their Syrian backers during her visit...

So then what's your point? Let's go with what works.

And why exactly is she an idiot for not meeting with terrorists? Hezbollah and the Assad regime are the PROBLEM and will continue to be the problem until they are eliminated. What the hell should she be talking to them about?

Only if traiters like you get their way.

Maybe individuals on this site should run the nation. We'd be worshipping Allah and sucking Arab butt in weeks. All in the name of partisan slavery and worldy ignorance.

You would rather see it go to your buddies in the ME so they could build more IED and make more plans to attack innocent civilians.

................... NAaaaaaaa I'll stick with Israel
