Because Trump has has always had a knack for hustling, lying and scamming.
The thing is every one of his hustles and scams eventually implodes.
Trumps own family says that the man is a dangerous liar.
Anyone who could support a man who would steal money from a children's cancer charity, needs some moral introspection.

A not down to earth nor intelligent sounding, nor charismatic, female minority.

The first three things are orders of magnitude more important. I've seen all manner of Presidents in my lifetime, from Reagan and Clinton as the most charismatic, to W and Obama, who both knew how to connect with people, and then the rest...who have just been blah
Your candidate wasn't even blah enough to win against a bad candidate

The response to Obama winning was a racist real estate grifter running on saying the first black president wasn't a real American, and millions of Republicans agreed with him. Your argument that Obama made us a post-racist country doesn't seem to hold up to scrutiny.

Right, a moderately successful criminal prosecutor with no notable drama or scandals VS a guy who was found guilty of stealing millions from a children's cancer charity and agreed that his daughter "is a piece of ass"
