TEHRAN, Sept 28 (Reuters) - Iran test-fired missiles on Monday which a commander said could reach any regional target, flexing its military muscle ahead of this week's crucial talks with major powers worried about Tehran's nuclear ambitions.
The missile drills of the elite Revolutionary Guards coincide with escalating tension in Iran's nuclear dispute with the West, after last week's disclosure by Tehran that it is building a second uranium enrichment plant.
News of the nuclear fuel facility south of Tehran added a sense of urgency to the rare meeting in Geneva on Thursday between Iranian officials and representatives of six major powers, including the United States, China and Russia.
Defeats? Are you sure you want to be referencing past defeats, dear chap? :rofl
Defeats?
As far as I know you too have acknowledged that he has murdered many.
I am just doing my part here pointing out to the mad man work and how many innocents did he and his legion of evil have killed.
So you have no moral objection to the murder of people simply because they are successful in life? No, I don't have any moral objections to violently expropriating capitalists if they try and actively resist their dispossession by landless peasants; there's hardly "murder" involved.
Oh my dear confused one you have made a silly mistake there! It's just that our dear friend Oftencold mentioned a madman developing nuclear weaponry, presumably in the Middle East, and presumably concealed from American and other international inspectors, so I thought I'd mention a head of state who did that.
So you have no moral objection to the murder of people simply because they are successful in life?
I have already assumed that but I'm just willing to confirm.
Oh my dear confused one you have made a silly mistake there!
Oftencold was speaking about a tyrannical dictator that goes against his own people, not about a leader of a liberal democracy.
Ah, those silly little mistakes.
Don't put "you" and "I" in the same sentence, it might create undesired misrepresentations.Dear boy, I'd prefer that you'd not pretend that you're sufficiently economically informed to finish a contention on this topic with me, as you and I both know you're not.
Indeed, which is why he was the leader of a Liberal Democracy. :mrgreen:Liberal democracies tend to avoid discrimination on the basis of race, sex, religion, creed, and the like, rather than maintain the supremacy of a specific ethnic/religious group to the extent that there's dismay and anger about the population growth of an ethnic minority.
Ohhh the evil west and their damned freedoms.More importantly, internal domestic conditions are not necessarily indicative of the international policies of any political regime. The U.S. is a good example of this, as its internal structure is one of the most democratic in the world, yet it's been governed by a series of political administrations that have supported the violent destruction of democratic governments around the world along with the successes of authoritarian dictatorships.

I'm afraid this error is in your computer and not mine. :shock:That's odd; this doesn't seem to contain a response to my post so much as somewhat boring comments. Please rectify this error.

I have no idea what this means, but as it's a non-response to a topic unrelated to the thread anyway, we'll ignore it.

Is that a fact? Is there not a commitment to establishing a state around the "identity" of a specific ethnic/religious group in the state in question's very declaration of establishment, and is there not dismay about the "demographic threat" posed by an increasing indigenous population within that state? I see no response to that here.
Ohhh the evil west and their damned freedoms.
I almost thought that this was intended to be satirical when I saw it, considering that the comment it "responded" to would have functioned better as a rebuttal to it. The exact point was that the domestic freedoms of certain Western countries are disconnected from the international policies of their governments. :2wave:
As I was saying, the error was in your computer kiddo. You'll have to adjust your bifocals there, lad. Let's have a look.

It was merely a response to your comment, which, mind you, was in no way related to the topic of the thread - Iran, and neither were any of your other posts.
Please refrain from going off-topic as it does no justice to the OP and his intention that led to the opening of this thread.

Are those facts?
The fact that Israel is a Liberal Democracy is quite known to anyone with any shard of knowledge on the subject, I'm astonished that you were unaware of it so far.

Which is entirely wrong and has no truth to it, considering that the US's foreign policy adopts morality whenever it is in the state of war, which cannot honestly be said for the other side, ehm?
Dear President Obama,
if you could just take a few days off from
your series of numerous personal appearances,
which I'm sure serve some vital national interest,
and put a little effort into addressing the deranged
madman developing nuclear weapons and missiles,
and maybe the war in Afghanistan, it would be
most appreciated,
thank you,
Oftencold.

I wonder, how many people who voted for Obama, thought they'd be getting a political version of Vince, Sham Wow guy?
Would you suggest he maybe chair a security council meeting on just this topic? Oh wait, he did that just Thursday. Would you care to withdraw your complaint that he is not putting effort into this problem? Further, you do realize that the president works on things while he is traveling for other things, right? Hell, Bush presided almost as much while on vacation as while in the White House.
Chair a security council meeting...my my. That certainly had alot of influence on Mahmoud, he must be firing off a medium range missile for every hour Obama chaired the meeting.
And...why not put Obama in the Chair, i mean...who has a greater grasp on what a threat Iran is other than our Salesman in Chief of GMC....our great health care provider...our community organizing Chicago politician..Barack Obama?
For the love of God!:doh
It is a step in the process. He is taking the matter seriously. What is not needed is a bunch of over the top hysterics from idiots who do not really know all that is being done.
Israel has never signed on the NPPT document, and has no obligation to the UN when it comes to nuclear power. But it's OK for Israel not to comply with UN Demands about it's nuclear stockpile.
Israel has never signed on the NPPT document, and has no obligation to the UN when it comes to nuclear power.
Iran however, has signed on the document, and is violating it as we speak.
Absurd is not enough of a word to describe your legacy.Yes and you are more than fine with Israel not cooperating with the UN.
Typical double standard of Israeli apologists.
Here they are trying to drum up support for attacks on Iran using alleged violations of UN agreements for their argument.
Those same agreements Israel refuses to take part in.
How absurd this must be to anybody not brainwashed by the US media.
