Actually, I have no negative comments about this very true reply, if looking solely at economics.

I don't recall ever seeing this before, although I have not read every single post here at DP.

Given current proven oil and coal reserves, which are probably <10% of actual reserves as new 'super wells' gush up from the Earth on a regular basis in areas never suspected to contain such oil and gas wealth prove that point, I am curious as to why there isn't an oil/coal fire sale going on to generate as much cash as possible ASAP, assuming the entire world is truly on board for the proposed 2030/2050 deadlines.

I doubt highly that China, India, Russia and other extremely poor larger population centers will be joining the US in any effort to reduce the use of oil and coal unless perhaps the US pays for every cent of it. I hope the democrats don't try to commit the US to that sad fate as the cost just may exceed $1 quadrillion, but you never know with Biden & Company given how he tells us with his fingers and whispers that "it will cost you nothing... nothing", referring to the EST $93 trillion BBB bill at the time. It just goes to show how desperate democrats are to rule the world under a huge socialist banner.
