Invisible tanks could be on battlefield within five years.

I'm pretty sure that David Copperfield used a stationary, less technical aspect of this technology, when he made a jumbo jet disappear back in the '80s.

actually, he used a 'scrim' curtain... like they do for Broadway theater shows. If it's backlit, you can see through it like it isn't even there, but when lit from the front, you see whatever is painted on it. He used the same thing for the Statue of Liberty disappear.

I'm also pretty sure that you would be able to see one of these tanks when it was moving. Now they need to work on broadcasting tank noise 180 degrees out of phase so that they are as quiet as possible. They are way too loud to sneak up on anything. That and the exhaust really reeks.
Well sure, and probably heat would be somewhat noticeable on infrared.

But an invisible (or at least hard to see) tank is still an advantage, even if it can easily be found via heat, sound, or smell sensors… The heat is probably the next most important aspect, since satellites can easily pick that out. Shutting down the tanks could eliminate that issue to an extent, I suppose.

I believe this was in a james bond movie a few years back. the one with the asian guy from fast and the furius as a villain.
