If I could have one wish, it would be that every person who has ever produced a computer virus, or malware, or trojan horse, would turn a bright blue in color... so that the rest of us could easily hunt them down and kill them. :shoot

(Self-righteous Mac users would turn orange so we could just beat them within an inch of their lives.)

Carry on.

I think it would be nice if most of the fanboys took a vow of silence, including many PC gamers, Mac users, Windows users, Linux users, hardcore gamers, and so forth.

That would be nice. I like hearing about stuff people like in appropriate settings. But I get really tired of the flamewars.

On the other hand, reading the console vs. PC gamers war on one of the Skyrim threads did give me a solid 20 minutes of entertainment.

A co-worker of mine was absolutely slammed by one (more than?) hacker who decided to target him. He didn't plant a virus, though. He wanted to enjoy the game a bit more than that....deleting blocks of files at a time until he tired of it and wiped his hard drive. Jim stopped using his computer at home because he figured the guy had his IP address. Then he bought a new computer because the problem didn't stop and he figured they had his computer identification number (or some such). Actually, there was a part of me that thought he'd gone over the edge. The reason he was targetted was that he decided to duke it out verbally on some kind of hackers' forum. Guess he showed them...

I don't game, but I had a virus minor one sneak in past my AV this evening just by visiting a website. Took me about 30 minutes to get rid of it. Here's the one I got.

Never ever go to a hacking site unless you would be considered a peer. If you harass them, or just lurk, you will regret it. They can't stand computer experts.
