Is the Annexation of Ukrainian Territory by Russia similar to the Insurgence, Occupation, and Annexation of Palestine by the International Zionist community?
Why? Why Not?
How Does it Differ?
Please Provide Credible References to All Claims.

Of course there's similarities, Ukraine isn't being attacked by an alien race from outer space, it's being attacked by a hostile adversary who wants to impose their national will on the Ukrainian people.
Are you attempting a clumsy Russian WHATABOUTISM or is this just a thinly veiled derp derp about "the Jews?"

Russian, nuff said?

They are fundamentally different. The establishment of Israel is historical fact. The invasion of Ukraine is a war in progress.

You won't like this answer, but I stand by it. There is no point in re-litigating all of Israel's wars. Israel was a vast mistake, of commission and omission, by the Western powers. But in it's own historical context, it made sense to give Jews a homeland. It would have been no more just to give them Madagascar or the Northern Territory of Australia. Some other people (of low value to Western nations) would have been displaced.

And Israel have fought for what they have, sometimes against terrible odds. They have conscription, allowing many of their citizens to be called up if necessary. They spend a lot on their defense. They maintain a high standard of democracy (better than the US) and treat the self-identified Israeli Arabs well.

Despite all that, I wish Israel had never been founded. It was a vast mistake, including a mistake of Jewish people. The very idea of a "homeland" based on religion, seems to me the height of folly. But it is done now. It is history.

The First Reply Worth Reading. I Disagree, but Nonetheless, Interesting.

Land in the region was granted to Israel via an international treaty as voted on by the United Nations. The Palestinians then lost further territory by participating in a series of failed attempts to conquer Israel militarily.

There was no such UN action granting Russia parts of the Ukraine, and it was Russia that attacked the Ukraine, not the other way around.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

This is what I was seeking.
Without Doubt, With Time you can be. Thank You.

No, actually. The Palestinians refused to accept the UN partition. And the Israelis then drew borders including Palestinian claims.

The land was taken by force (Israeli force) and there was no UN vindication of that.

Agreed, the Palestinians have been ignoring international treaties (and norms) for a very long time.

Oh, is that what you were seeking? Russian ownership of Ukraine will be valid 50 years from now, but only if Russia fights off numerically superior neighbors (NATO) and is still there afterwards?

What bullshit. Your attempts to justify Russia's invasion are rejected, for being untimely, for being barbaric, and for being based on a ridiculous analogy.

Russia is not a persecuted minority lacking a homeland. Bullshit, I say.

This Israel-Palestinian related thread is in the wrong forum. It violates DP forum rules in my opinion. The OP would be wise to contact a Moderator and have the thread moved to the proper forum. Then I will comment.

Cheers and be well.

yes and no......yes because both decided to take what is not theirs' to take........no because one is operating from the standpoint of an insane nationalist belief in a dictator's desire to conquer......the other from an insane religious belief that they are God's 'chosen' people

the references are in not only the daily media but also from every history book ever written
