I wonder if people realize that interference in foreign elections is more common than they think. The USA has interfered many times itself. So why all the outrage.
The U.S. has a long history of attempting to influence presidential elections in other countries – it’s done so as many as 81 times between 1946 and 2000, according to a database amassed by political scientist Dov Levin of Carnegie Mellon University.

So then you think that Russia is justified in meddling in ours ?
Are you arguing that Russians and other non-citizens don't have rights guaranteed to our citizens?
I didn't realize hacking personal e-mails of your political enemies was a right.

Well, when it's proved the Russians did this, we can discuss this. I was posting with a wink and a nod.
Right now, we know with certainty that our own spies are hacking everything on Earth and that there are politically motivated leaks by our own spies.
Isn't it funny that the idea of the Russians hacking and then leaking is so accepted when there is no evidence of it happening?
Wiki Leaks specifically stated that the stuff they published did NOT come from Russian Sources.
Isn't it funny that the idea of our own spies hacking and then leaking is dismissed when there is ample evidence that it happens every day?
Perhaps a little less hysteria and a little more rational review is required.
Is the sworn word from intelligence agencies not even enough to have you convinced to at least consider the possibility that the Russians have the motive and the means to meddle with US Elections?
It's amusing how selective you are when it comes to the intelligence community.
No, we have the evidence. There's such an overwhelming consensus that the Russians hacked the DNC for political gain. The only thing presently under investigation is whether or not the Trump administration is cahoots. I apologize that reality disagrees with your worldview.
Except in 2015, Wikileaks announced publicly the Russians were able to hack into the DNC email accounts. So either Wikileaks lied, or their source lied. In the end which one do you find more reliable?
Isn't it funny that you're attempting to derail the conversation away from Russia sanctioning the hacking of American citizens to try and suddenly bring up "our massive spy program." I have yet to see anyone successfully pull of this clumsy, dishonest misdirection yet. The question isn't whether SIGINT work moral or not. Instead, the conversation is whether or not you believe it is okay for a foreign government to interfere with US elections.
The only ones "hysteric" are people attempting to deny reality because "their side" benefited from international subterfuge.
Are you arguing that Russians and other non-citizens don't have rights guaranteed to our citizens?

Let's look at some other things that happen alot, and see how this premise holds up:
Drunk driving is pretty common. Why the outrage?
Rape is common. Why the outrage?
Robbery is common. Why the outrage?
Child abuse is common. Why the outrage?
And therefore Russia's interference in ours is somehow no big deal? Trying to find the point here...

Right back at you. Point being, people acting like the world is coming to an end about Russia's supposed interference, yet don't raise an eyebrow when the USA does the same. And really, what exactly have they done. Released emails that they supposedly hacked themselves, that exposed the upper Democratic party members as crooked liars. Compared to what the US has done as well as other countries, yeah, no big deal.
So then you think that Russia is justified in meddling in ours ?
Child abuse is common.:lamo
what % of Americans have committed child abuse Robbery or rape? I dont know anyone that has committed those common acts
Child abuse is common.:lamo
what % of Americans have committed child abuse Robbery or rape? I dont know anyone that has committed those common acts
Overall U.S. child abuse statistics:
Every 10 seconds a child is abused or raped
3.3 million child abuse reports in 2010
For every report 2 more go unreported = many millions abused annually
61,000 reports to Child Protective services per week = 6 per minute
Of 1.5 million runaways 85% are fleeing some form of abuse
Only 10% of abusers do not know their abuser well
Abuse victims = about 48% male, 52% female
Every race and religion sees child abuse

Sure...let's use your example.
Are person who serially drinks and drives being outraged someone else does.
A serial rapist being outraged about being raped.
Do I need to go on?
So then you think that Russia is justified in meddling in ours ?
I have never interfered in a foreign election, can I be upset if Russia did?
