I was watching a show this week on religions and found that the Koran includes the entire story of the virgin birth of Mary, from the angel coming to her until the birth. Just an interesting tidbit.

Correct. However, the Qur'an makes it very clear that Jesus was merely a prophet, and NOT the son of God.

As a baby, Jesus spoke to unbelievers from his cradle. This is beyond question, and must be accepted, as revered scriptures say so.

I wonder why then, as a prophet, they did not believe him when Jesus said he was the only way to the Father (John 14:6)?

Abraham had 2 sons, Ishmael, the first born to a concubine, and Isaac, born to his wife Sarah. ( it is in Genesis, I think).
If you go back to the start, whether you are a person of faith or not, religious texts imply that we are closer related than we may want to admit.

The Qur'an says Mohamed has been sent to reaffirm (and to correct where necessary) the Torah and the Gospels, as well as to add updates (Turns out 6,236 verses were required, with the vast majority fitting into the update category). One of the corrections that was stressed several times is that not only is Jesus NOT the son of God, but to say so is an unforgivable sin. (5:72 - Yusuf Ali: They do blaspheme who say: "Allah is Christ the son of Mary." But said Christ: "O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help, and 4:48 - Yusuf Ali: Allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with Him; but He forgiveth anything else, to whom He pleaseth; to set up partners with Allah is to devise a sin Most heinous indeed.) Any entity to whom one prays other than God is what is meant as a "partner".

And so began the most disfunctional family in history.

Thanks, but I'll stick with Jesus as the divine Son of Man, Savior, and the only way to the Father.

...not to mention why they don't believe him when he's explaining himself to adults from his crib.

I wasn't talking about incest. I was referring to internecine hatred.

Those Exilic and post-Exilic Jews had no idea the global ****-storm they were starting with the stories they would create and hand down.

Muslims hate infidels, and as a result, Christians and Jews hate Muslims who hate them.

Btw, this is what answering direct questions looks like, in case you ever decide to give it a try.

God is not a man that he should lie , nor is god the Son of Man that he should repent.. God is changeless.

True Christians hate no one...Acts 10:34,35...

You've been educated on why it fails to use this against Jesus. You refuse to learn.

First of all, it would be correct to say that Jesus is deity incarnated in a human body. He is not "man" in the complete species sense of the intended meaning of that scripture.

Fast forward to the Book of Daniel, which was written at a time when the “son of man” phrase had a specific and known meaning. In the context of Daniel 7:13, where one "like a son of man" comes to the Ancient of Days (Almighty God) and is given dominion and sovereign power and universal worship of the sort that God alone possesses, the significance of Jesus' "son of man" usage cannot be overstated. It is functionally equivalent to saying that the one like a son of man is rightful heir and successor to the divine throne. "Son of man" is essentially the same as "Son of God" in this context. And if the person in Daniel 7:13-14 is only someone “like” a son of man, then it certainly implies there must be some differences. Otherwise it would say something like, “A son of man” came before the Ancient of Days.”

In addition, at the time Numbers 23:19 was written, God had not yet become man (Christ), so the statement does not necessarily preclude a future incarnation.

You're busted.

No, that is your attempt to get around the Truth of the bible. Your attempt to get around it makes a change to God, which violates that point that God does not change. It means your belief about Jesus being God is false.

Abraham married his half sister, Sarah...

I was emphasizing Ishmael, to demonstrate that the topic isn't exclusive to incest; which stevecanuck wasn't talking about anyway.

And I misunderstood him to be talking about incest for good reason...

But even so, the literary Ishmael (a huge component of that reason) had nothing to do with incest.

Because the narrative of Ishmael had everything to do with stevecanuck's comment. I recognized it, and he even acknowledged its prevalence (Arab hostility). Why you chose to avoid the prevalent content, and concentrate solely on incest is puzzling.
