Interesting but fascinating situation

In 2020, the Voice in Australia had some great singers but an interesting and fascinating situation occurred.

Two of the singers that reached the final were both very very good but in my opinion, the one that didn't win was better than the one that won (though both were great). The likely reason was that the winner was the brother of one of the judges and as such and since the judge himself is a great singer, the public probably chose the brother for that reason.

Below are 3 videos. The first one is of Johnny Manual singing a Celine Dion song. He is the one that in my opinion, should have won. The second video is of Johnny Manual singing with the judge, whose name is Guy Sebastian (eye-catching event with both great singers singing) and the 3rd video is of Chris Sebastian, who was the eventual winner and brother of the judge.

Listen to them and tell me who you think is the better singer.

It is a problem with all of these type of shows.

It's not really any different than the fans voting for someone because of their story of being homeless or whatever their backstory might be, and not necessarily because they are the absolute best singer.

No one makes it to the finals that isn't a pretty great singer though, even if the winner isn't always the best.

Most of the people that win these shows are not all that successful in following through. Nonetheless, Johnny Manual has been quite successful world-wide.

Here he is singing in Germany just 1 year ago and he is singing a Whitney Houston song. He certainly does not let the great singers of all time cut his goals short. He meets those expectations
