Chicago isn't even in the top 10 for highest homicide rates.

Chicago also has a population of around 2,700,000.

Like most US cities, crime is FALLING in Chicago, not increasing; the homicide rate during the first half of 2025 fell 25% compared to the same time last year. Also like every other major city in the US, crime tends to be concentrated in specific areas.

I.e. it's absurd to suggest that Chicago is so dangerous that federal agents are constantly at risk just by being there.

No one is "masquerading." The protesters are actual protesters. Obstruction, when it is used, is a protest tactic.

ICE does not seem to be deliberately targeting Chicago PD (yet). Rather, it's that they are indiscriminate about using tear gas and other crowd control measures, almost certainly because:

- They don't know what the f*** they're doing.
- They don't care who they are tear gassing.
- Their superiors are not holding them accountable for their abusive and/or illegal acts.

That said, ICE is also apparently making fake 911 calls, and lying their asses off about problematic encounters with the public. E.g. the OP's claim about an "angry mob" were basically all false.

By the way, one way you can tell that ICE really sucks ass is that it's getting public to line up behind the Chicago PD... which has a long history of racism and abuse.

Pritzker, local elected officials, Chicago PD, and protesters are all being pretty reasonable, given the circumstances.

ICE, DHS, ICE Barbie, Chump, Miller, Hegseth etc are not.

International waters start at 12 nautical miles. If the body of water is less than 24 miles across, then the owner changes 1/2 way across.

Yet not according to the maps that show the true border between the two nations and have done so for over a hundred years. What they are showing is a map made up to try and allow the border patrol into Chicago and is as big a lie as most of what Trump does. The border lies at the 49th parallel as per the treaty between Canada and the USA and is shown in the map I posted. Look it up if you do not believe me.

Nearly every major city in the U.S. is controlled by Democrats. Obviously, most of the crime in the U.S. is in cities controlled by Democrats. The same is true with the number of illegal immigrants.

Compare the amount of crime and the number of illegal immigrants in New York City with that of Omaha, Nebraska. You get my point?

So, while Trump is trying to quell violence in Gaza, he causes riots and disorder in Washington, D.C., Portland, Oregon, Chicago, Illinois, and L.A to justify sending in troops in America's cities.

Republicans think this is smart. They will say nothing regarding this issue.

This same Republican President is now saying that furloughed federal workers are not entitled to back pay.
