One month ago the India Coast Guard siezed an anti-Piracy ship off its coast along the state of Tamil Nadu. At first, the military declined to comment, only stating what the vessel was, why it was intercepted, and that it had no interest in the matter.
Then, once in port, state and local politics in the region came into play, and to this date, the US and British security contingent remain incarcerated at an unknown location near Pondicherry, India under heavy guard.
The perils of dealing in this part of the world. Piracy is big business here. Why no furor in the west over the detaining of US and British citizens? Something seems amiss.
