Difference being our statistics are based in reality, not deflections to 'but suicides/car deaths etc., ..' excuses for the carnage your love for these things creates.

Sometimes 'rights', like laws, are wrong. In the case of 2A it may have been justified when everyone, both citizenry and government, had nothing more lethal than black powder guns and there was a degree of parity in firepower. But today? The whole 'rogue government' argument is a joke. Your little guns won't protect you from well-trained and organised troops, gunships, tanks and drones should your government turn on you. Still it's nice to fantasise, I guess.

Nonsense. I suggest you read some history, and not the Hollywood variety. In case you need reminding the Royal Air Force prevented Hitler from ever planning to invade our little island in the Summer of 1940-while you were still vacillating over who to support; Churchill or Hitler. The Battle of Britain defeated the Luftwaffe over Britain, and put paid to Hitler's plans. He never tried again. Oh, and Lease-Lend was a business arrangement, and we paid for everything we got from you, in cash, with interest (nice touch), along with some useful real estate included.

Montgomery was an arrogant dick whom nobody could stand to be around for long, no argument from me. Bradley, along with Bill Slim, were probably the most effective Generals of WW2. McArthur was your version of Montgomery; self-obsessed, publicity-seeking.

Bollocks. The Russians broke Hitler, and the Battle of Britain ensured "allied" dominance of the skies before the US eventually joined the winning side.
Beer is served at room temperature so its subtle flavours can be tasted.
