And that's find Grand Mal... but people up in arms about an email being sent which is equal to a phone call. Now does anybody ever expect your boss to show up to your home and treat you with dignity when you get fired from a job? Maybe even give you a chin up speech? Of course not. So why over a VOLUNTEER position should someone expect anything other then an email, phone call or even a letter in the mail?

Who gives a ****? It's a volunteer position and one the guy assumed he had. So in reality you know what they say about assuming right? It happen here.

It's not really as impersonal, not to an old person, or at least it doesn't have to be. It's not even as impersonal as an old fashioned letter to someone of his generation. Maybe to someone in their 20s, who don't use the phone app on their smart phone....

And it's good to know saving you time is the key point here, not showing common courtesy to an old man who's served many Presidents for decades.

Draft dodging is always done to suit the individual that is dodging the draft. That's kind of the point of the behavior, isn't it?

I am making a point. A phone call can be just as impersonal and using Trumps catch phrase (which I quoted) would be.

And secondly, the man didn't serve President but was given a role of announcer at inauguration. Most admins before Trump probably had a don't rock the boat mentality. Only time this man was given a role in admin was G.W. Bush who hired him to announce t-ball games at the White House. Obama ended T-ball games at the White House. No outcry there.

I have never been a fan of breaking traditions unless there is a reason. If this was done without any reason then it does seem like a pretty crappy thing to do.

Could be, this seems very strange, this apparently all going back to only one questionable source....something I figured out two hours ago. . Plus I have seen quotes from the new guy talking up the old guy and saying that he wants to be non poltical like the old guy was. Which makes some sense. Surely he will be on the shows soon, someone will pin him down.

Also gotta say that from the stuff the old guy has been saying just recently he seems like a FRUIT LOOP.

I am guessing that this is old age calling.

Team Trump was right.

It's the second part of the sentence that's important - the part about AFTER dodging the draft doing the pretend soldier and uber patriot bit, with camo stage uni, the flag guitar, the gun waving, etc.

For some reason he wears camo all the time. Maybe we're supposed to think he just got back from the woods chasing dangerous game and didn't have time to change. I think the draft dodger likes to pretend to be a soldier, but in any event we agree on the basics - him being an ass....

It sounds to me like Brotman is 89, and they went with a younger guy. Happens everyday in every field that exists. The media jumped on this, and needed some way to tie it to Trump to make him once again look like their villain. So they use the Daily Beast as their source, even though it's essentially the Breitbart of the left.

Fake News? But I thought only the Russians were capable of that?

A "victim" who had supported every president-elect for the past 60 years, regardless of their political affiliation, who after justing losing his wife of decades was sent an email to basically ****-off because THE DONALD has a buddy who wants that job because, hey, he's a donating buddy... **** you, Trump.

1) Check out 1992 House of Reps Committee on POW/MIA..

2) I never said he wasn't tortured.

3) I said he sang like a Canary while other POWs never did. Colonel Ted Guy the head (senior officer) of the POWs at Hanoi when McCain was there and Col Gordon “Swede” Larson also there both call McCain a liar. Both recommend him to be charged.

4) I suggest you read up on the Alcatraz Gang or even Floyd James (longest held US pow during Vietnam).

ALSO, did you catch the part where old guy says that he was expecting this go to be the extra special send off, seeing as how old he is and how his game is slipping I assume...he did not say why.....so the shock of the email even though the person writing it tried to be extra nice to him threw him off?? Somebody needs to get with this guy maybe because he said that he has never in 60 years been thanked for doing this thing, which I find hard to believe. If it is true, and specially if he has been going through all his life expecting all the thanks to come at the end, then this is a super sad story.

On the other hand this could be all FRUIT LOOPS, who knows.

I'm all for giving him a pat on the back. And yeah it's sad his wife died recently, but so far, none of the people who were quick to jump on the 'blame Trump first' bandwagon have anything to say about the shoddy source linking Steve Ray to Trump.

There's plenty of Fruit Loops to go around here!

He says he has not figured out if he wants to take the Trump offer, he might just take an offer to do one of the TV network shows on the shindig. I figure they are offering him the KING FOR THE DAY spot.
