In response to Barr's memo, the top DOJ official overseeing voter fraud investigations quit.

Just listening to Carlson, I find it hard to believe he even believes his own bs, but I have right side friends, whom otherwise intelligent, completely fall for these laughable assertions.
Carlson and others keep saying how incredulous it was that Trump was winning on election night, but by SOME HUGE MIRACLE started to lose his lead over the next few days.
I just can't believe they are not aware that the mail in votes were mostly democrat, and were not allowed to be counted until after the election votes were counted in these questionable states. What planet where they on for the
weeks leading up to the election?

Do the right just somehow turn off their rational and logical facilities when confronted with losing?I can maybe understand some who didn't follow the election build up, but FOX reporters who look at the process day in and out for months -- you're going to tell me, they really don't understand that more votes were expected to be counted favorably towards the democratic candidate the next few days? Especially, when Trump was insisting that his followers vote in person?

How do you know mail in votes were mostly Democratic? That was the story during the campaign, true, but that is hardly the basis of making such a conclusion.

FANTASTIC! SHOULD HAVE HAPPENS FROM THE MOMENT MAIL IN BALLOTS STARTED TO BE COUNTED - or any time before too. This is a federal election, not the self made laws and rules of local partisan election departments.

Oh how the Democratic Party is going to howl about this. Outright act of terror on behalf of Adolph Trump, the wannabe dictator - and stuff like that.

This is getting serious. And it's about time. I only hope it isn't a day late and a dollar short.
What is hilarious is that absolutely no one takes you seriously at this site.

No one.

Biden's an idiot, Biden cheated, Biden hasn't won because the votes are being challenged. There are many instances of suspicious conduct surrounding the handling of ballots.

Did you watch politics for the months leading up to the election? Can you say with a straight face with all the activity that occurred leading up to the election, that it's likely that the mail in votes were evenly split between both sides, not heavily democrat?

If you somehow don't agree, there were tabulations of the dem/rep split on mail in votes with ballots sent and received before delayed mail in ballots were even counted. I even used those numbers which were available on election night (you can look back on my posts) to forecast that the PA votes would flip over the next few days, and my prior estimates came very close to the final results. That's plenty of confirmation for me. On election night, Trump was up like 56% 43% PA, and yet, the numbers already (and calmly) showed that would not hold -- you could know that by looking at my analysis right there on election night. Somehow the right side sees that as 'magic'. But it's really not, it was perfectly predictable.

Like I said, that was the theory.
Maybe it twas true.

Barr is in legal jeopardy himself. he has to throw Hail Marys.

Elections are administered State level, in the past Federal Courts have been reluctant to get involved

I agree that is accurate. This is a huge hurtle for team Trump.

Nope, it's just a memo. It's grandstanding: Barr has 'given' prosecutors 'authority' to investigate 'if' there is evidence.

It's grandstanding, messaging, nothing more. It lets the chinless masses imagine Trump is chasing this up when in reality there's nothing to chase up, just the vague 'authority' that they can, if they want, or can be bothered, and if they find a reason. Yawn...

It's pretending to do something when there's nothing actually to be done, to salve the bruised egos of the trumpettes.

S'over dawg, chill.

I encourage people to read this article, the entire article. to understand fully the ramifications of Barr's behavior by eroding the confidence of American citizens in the cornerstone of their democracy, free and fair elections. It's chilling. :(

Time to Impeach Bill Barr

Yeah, but thanks to Watergate, a ton of lefties started to hate politics and swore it off, preferring to work for the poor, eat granola, hug trees, and make shitty folk music. Maybe the Trumpers can spend 20 years eating beef jerky, getting scammed by televangelists, and watching reruns of Last Man Standing.

It wasn't all shitty

Because... we counted them, despite the best efforts of Republicans.

We're not just talking about 2020, either. There have been several elections where mail-in votes favor Democrats. That's why Trump and other Republicans keep attacking them.

Keep in mind "mostly" does not mean "all." For example, a lot of the mail-in votes in Arizona were for Trump, which narrowed the margin of his loss there. Arizona did not count most of those votes in advance, thus we had the inexcusable delays in the count. The exact same thing that was happening in PA also happened in AZ, but in AZ it was to Trump's benefit. That's why you Trump supporters in AZ chanted "count the votes!" while, at the exact same time, Trump supporters in Michigan chanted "stop the vote!"

Oh, and keep in mind that Democrats WEREN'T demanding that Arizona stop counting, even though there was a pretty good chance that Biden could have lost in the late counts. Hmmmm.

Seriously, dude. It's time to put down the Sour Grape Flavor Kool-Aid. Trump lost the election. There is no evidence of fraud, which is why Trump is losing all of these baseless lawsuits. It's over. It's time to move on.

Like I said, that was the theory.
Maybe it twas true.

And as has been pointed out, it isn’t a theory. We did know the political affiliation of the mail in vote, even if we did not know how they voted.

Your fuhrer attacked the voting and election process constantly throughout 2020. He’s still doing it. He can’t stand the fact that his is being held to account by the voters. He wants that to go away. Barring that, he will do what he is doing now. His petulant sore loser act.

The Wisconsin GOP set the tone when they chose to force voters to show up on election day for their primary. It was clear that the Trump White House thought that was a good idea. And the Wisconsin GOP wanted to save a Supreme Court seat, too.

But thousands of people forced to stand in line during a pandemic didn’t think so. And the GOP lost that seat.

And thousands of people watched what the GOP forced voters to do in Wisconsin and decided they weren’t going to support a candidate or a party that tried to force them to take personal risk to exercise their rights.

But the idea of forcing people to vote in person appealed to Trump, and thus became the right wing noise machine’s mantra from then on.

Trump told his faithful followers to only vote in person on election day.

It was clear from both the polling and the canvassing of the mail in and absentee ballots, that Trump’s followers obeyed his orders.

And the majority (often the vast majority) of the mail in and absentee ballots went for the Democrats.

Trump trapped himself in his own rhetoric (again).

When did you vote? Or did you? Just curious.

Time to Impeach Bill Barr

I wouldn’t bother.

He’s only got 71days to go.

And this ”investigations” thing will most likely peter out quickly.

Using the Justice Department as a weapon to prop up Trump isn’t going to play post election.

He may have used Justice to prop Trump up through his past self inflicted crisies. But this time it’s different.

The American people have had a taste of what it feels like to wake up and not have to think about what stupid thing or reckless scheme the President is bellowing about on any given day.

Because... we counted them, despite the best efforts of Republicans.

That isn't the context what I said. The claim was Democrats mailed in their ballots, therefore it stands to reason they voted Democratic.
Therefore, whatever claims being made are false.

This may be true, but I vacillate between believing that we have passed the point of being in danger and feeling that we could still be in jeopardy from Trump. He just fired Secretary of Defense Esper and replaced him with a yes man needing no Senate confirmation. (And Esper was already quite a yes man!) We do not know if Trump plans to use the Pentagon and DOJ to make a grab for power in some unexpected way.

Paranoia will destroya.

This childish behavior won't end until trump is gone.
It won't end then, either. The Republican Party has clearly gone over the edge. It is no longer a responsible participant in American democracy.

Ummm. How a state conducts an election is a right enshrined in the constitution.

Trump will burn the house down before admitting he lost. The GOP warned Trump that by telling his supporters not to use mail in he was possibly suppressing part of his own vote. The Dems out played the GOP this time, mail in voting may possibly be a norn in the future.
And now they're mad at us because they shot themselves in the dick.

Nope, read the decision on the Bush v Gore case. The Supreme Court will look to that decision more than anything else. But you never read the petitions or the SCOTUS rulings, have you? Nor will you ever because Beijing Biden openly forbad all Democrats from every accepting any facts. Instead, you'll just recite whatever the richest people on earth order you to.

Doesn't matter what you and I think. It's up to SCOTUS to decide - or refuse to decide leaving it to the lower courts.

Has to get to a ruling before the Supremes can even look at it.

And so far they haven't done what you really want and need, which is to overturn votes cast by eligible voters in good faith according to the rules in place when they cast them.

They have been steadfast in refusing to entertain challenges to those rules after the fact so far, stating that challenges should have been made before people started voting.
