In case you don't quire get it....

If we're being true to the analogy, it's missing, "but $150 isn't fair, so obviously I'll have to clear and till my land, plant crops, spend hundreds if not thousands of hours and dollars tending, harvesting, and storing them, all of which will require me to quit my reasonably high paying job so that I can avoid buying from the supermarket."

OMG PEOPLE!!

Get over your TDS. Your Trump "hatred." If Trump thinks tariffs is the way to go, and Fox tells ya it is the way to go, then it's the way to go. Stop analyzing, don't do any critical thinking, don't question, don't consider future implications, just accept that FACT, yes the FACT, that Trump is brilliant and his ideas are the bigly best.

I wonder how people, especially anti-Trumpers, will decide if Trump is brilliant or not brilliant.
Has the jury already concluded its deliberations and a verdict is ready to be announced?
Anyone can consider future implications. Based on what? Trade deals in progress?
Future deportations of illegal aliens? What's in the imaginary "Epstein files" containing a "list" of prurient miscreants? The fear of Iranian retaliation for what Israel/Trump did to Iran's military infrastructure?

Does anyone have a clear crystal ball to tell the future when it comes to Trump's possible decisions?

So you're arguing against using critical thinking to consider potential outcomes to Trump's actions and policies?

Would you have told a jew "Don't over analyze it. Just get on the cattle car"?

History has shown he is a criminal on many levels, and unfit for office. Presidential historians (experts) have shown him to be the worst president in history. Pretty basic.

Everyone should use critical thinking skills to determine whether what he/she is reading is credible or simply propaganda bullshit. How does one tell the difference?
There is no one answer to that question.

I imagine in the early 1940s there were Jews who sadly wanted to believe they were being moved to a place where they could be together with their families and eventually returned home after the Nazis were defeated.
That's why Israel is as powerful as it is right now. NEVER AGAIN!! makes a lot of sense right now. They absolutely must be ready to defend itself against enemies who want to see Israel destroyed.
Fortunately we live in a powerful country of 330 million people who will never see American citizens told to get into a cattle car by an outside force that wants to exterminate us.

BTW, that's an invitation for someone to cleverly respond by equating to what is now happening to illegal aliens (not citizens) who are being arrested and processed for deportation to their home countries.

You know how it is: Everyone who doesn't swallow the Trump cool-aid is an anti-Trumper.
The Trump "Kool Aid" is sometimes bothered by initial missteps that need to be corrected if they do not work as intended.
Imagine that, a political leader correcting a course of a proposed solution that is not going as intended.

If he is so bad, why did the majority of voters put him in the White House?
Does that mean they are bad too, in your eyes?
If so, so what?

Voting eligible population - 244,700,000
Registered voters - 173,900,000
Total votes - 157,000,000
Votes for Trump - 77,300,000

77,300,000/173,900,000 = 44% of registered voters
77,300,000/157,000,000 = 49% of votes

Not a majority.

I would ask you to answer your own question since I suspect you voted for Trump. Why did you vote for him?

I will admit I did not vote for him in 2024.

imo, I do not believe voters are inherently bad. I do believe some vote Party line regardless of who the candidate is.
Trump is skilled at marketing. One only has to go by his own words of saying he was elected President because of the "brand".

Well, we can look at history.

Some of us haven’t forgotten the lessons of history and would like to avoid repeating them.

And by no measure is trump “brilliant”. Cunning and charisma have lifted many above their abilities over the centuries.

trump is just the latest.

Yes. This...

"In June, the US inflation rate rose to 2.7%, its highest level since February, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This increase from 2.4% in May is attributed, in part, to the impact of President Trump's tariffs on various goods.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • Overall Inflation:
The Consumer Price Index (CPI), a measure of inflation, increased by 0.3% in June on a monthly basis, resulting in the 2.7% annual rate.

  • Core Inflation:
Core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, rose to 2.9% annually, up from 2.8% the previous month, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

  • Tariffs Impact:
Economists suggest that the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration are contributing to the price increases, particularly in sectors like furniture, apparel, and household goods, according to a report from Al Jazeera. "

  • Federal Reserve's Response:
The Federal Reserve is closely monitoring inflation data and is expected to maintain its current interest rate policy, at least for the near future, to assess the impact of tariffs on prices.

  • Potential for Further Increases:
Some experts predict that inflation could continue to rise in the coming months as the full effects of the tariffs become apparent.

  • Regional variations:
It's worth noting that the impact of tariffs and overall inflation can vary across different regions and industries.
In simpler terms, the cost of many goods and services is going up, and some of this increase is linked to the tariffs imposed on imports. This situation is putting pressure on the Federal Reserve to be cautious about lowering interest rates, as that could further fuel inflation, according to a report from USA Today.

I hate to say it but this is yet another benefit of the Trump presidency: He forced leftists to understand the benefits of free trade.

So if we examine your posts at the start of Biden's admin, we'll find no opinions offered on the future direction of the country?

Your explanation of Trump kool aid is the most kool aidy thing possible.

voters can perform a brain fart----happens all the time in history

They have poor judgement----the writing against trump was on the wall with giant letters

Yeah----why believe experts. Just go with the opinions you get from the local bar, right??
Experts! Where are the "experts" who can decide if the majority of voters were wrong to select Trump over the DEI-hire Kamala?
Trump won and Kamala lost. Is that somehow bad for our democracy which chose the more desirable candidate last November?
There are people wandering around in the desert still trying to figure out why they lost to the candidate they think the majority made a mistake?
I hope they never come to their senses and continue to be disorganized and fractured within their own party.
Let them keep hoping the loser Newsom continues to be the front runner for 2028.

You're free to go back four years to examine my posts.
I'd like to remember what I wrote four years ago.
Help me remember.

Go ahead, I'll wait.

There's decades of business results to review, and his last term.

Has the jury already concluded its deliberations and a verdict is ready to be announced?
No, because he still has three years left. He started out with a bang, so the reaction's been commensurate with the amount of actions.

Anyone can consider future implications. Based on what? Trade deals in progress?
Hard to know yet since it's all vaporware. We'd have to see an actual signed trade treaty. We're still at the "Dear Mr. Japan" stage.

Future deportations of illegal aliens?
That's an ongoing tally.

What's in the imaginary "Epstein files" containing a "list" of prurient miscreants?
Good question. Trump was very interested in this until he wasn't. Now he's splitting his supporters into two camps, where the "PAST supporters" are the ones who insist on holding him accountable to his campaign promise.

The fear of Iranian retaliation for what Israel/Trump did to Iran's military infrastructure?
We're still not sure what the exact damage was.

Does anyone have a clear crystal ball to tell the future when it comes to Trump's possible decisions?
Nope, and it's likely Trump doesn't either.

I hate to say it but this is yet another benefit of the Trump presidency: He forced leftists to understand the benefits of free trade.
To Leftists, it doesn't really matter if Trump is right to improve trade with those taking advantage of our open markets.
If Trump is doing it, it must be wrong.

This might have more validity as a defense if we all weren’t aware of the many many times he has actually ****ed up. For decades.
