You can’t hide from the fact that the Ukranian regime has been visiting horrific brutality on its own citizens for being members of the Orthodox Church. Their crocodile tears over the Odesa cathedral are just that.

It appears you are trying to whitewash what Putin is doing to prevent the grain deal to starving countries in Africa.

What is the distinction between the city and the port you are feebly trying to make?

Yan Taksyur is a Ukranian journalist who, last year, was sentenced to 70 years in prison for being a dissident because he reported on the Ukrainian Security Services abduction of members of the Orthodox Church, chopping their fingers off, and driving nails through their heads to send the message that such membership is unacceptable to the regime in Kyiv.

So yes, he’s relevant because his treatment speaks to the animus the Ukraine regime truly has for the Orthodox Church, motive for its probable culpability in damaging the Cathedral in Odesa, and evidence that any outrage the regime in Kyiv claims to have is feigned.
