If you think of Britain, what comes to your mind then?

for me ..... lots of things

for a start ..... the Royal Family .... and driving on the left
The Royal Family, good and bad. Shared history, political and legal systems. Our cooperation in WWI & WWII.

Some of the world's greatest: museums, universities, towns and cities, music, inventions and medical advances, the good and bad of colonization. Stoicism in the face of adversity. And that absolutely devastating wit.

Thanks. As an Englishman I'll gratefully settle for a bit of over praise.

Orcs! The beatles, and fish and chips :p

You have to be oldddddd to have seen that first time around or it was sold to Canada years later?

Excuse me, we drive on the correct side of the road. Everyone else has it wrong.
Not everyone. Japan, Barbados, Ireland and several other countries have held firm.

I've always felt that "English cuisine" is an oxymoron.
Actually pub food can be excellent and diverse. I have never had a bad meal in a restaurant in England. Now my Mom and Nana are a different story,

It's a stereotype. I've never had a bad meal in the UK either and pub food is miles away from where it once was.

The coolest castles.

Strongly advise you to stay away from pub chains like Wetherspoons and never... ever.... ever..... go anywhere near something called "Toby Carvery."

If you see a sign like this -

just drive past.
