It seems to me that 'explain to Jack Smith, his family, and his friends' is a veiled threat, written in code encouraging people to target all those people, much the way he would add the word 'peaceful' to his encouraging insurrection on 1/6 so he could claim he said it. That's why it's a nonsensical idea of people 'explaining to his family and friends' a legal idea - it was just a flimsy pretext to call for targeting them while trying to avoid legal guilt.
