I support gay rights, but I do think that saying that declaring the public street is some kind of pro-gay art, then getting offended when some bigot does donuts on it or paints it over, is just asking for too much nonsense. The road is the road. I'm sad to see this due to its obvious tie-ins with a far more far-reaching Republican anti-gay agenda. Nonetheless, getting rid of non-standard markings was written as a neutral policy and apparently enforced as such.

Count this as a small loss and move on. Whereas normalizing relations with Uganda and sliming down its human rights report to deport people there counts as a BIG loss.

A person can choose to be MAGA. They can't choose to be gay or trans.

Furthermore, LGBTQ is harmless. Only the hatemongers argue otherwise.

MAGA want to see world peace, secure borders, safe cities, stop the flow of fentanyl, low unemployment, low gas prices, low inflation...etc..etc.

This is not how democracy works though.
In a democracy we're free to choose whatever party we identify with the most.

When you say you don't like the fact that I'm right-wing, and you insist that I should change from right-wing to left-wing, then you're not being democratic. In fact you're being authoritarian

Maga isn't an inherent protected trait like race, gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation. It's not even considered a religion, even though it ticks nearly every requirement to be considered a cult.

Many people have done so, including myself. I voted for Trump in 2016, Jo Jorgensen in 2020, and finally Harris in 2024.

The party that I vote for then becomes a choice based on who I am.

Regardless, political affiliations aren't protected statuses. Therefore, if you want to paint a crosswalk in MAGA colors, or even democrat blue, then you need to privately owned the crosswalk you want to paint over.

You want us to conform and change over to your side, but us right-wingers are not asking the same of you. In fact, we don't care what your politics are, so long as you don't keep pushing your politics on us.
