If you find gay/trans perverted, why?

I've asked this question of most of the bigoted transphobic/Homophobic folks here, but i never get a viable response.
Normally, they just refuse to answer.
Or, they'll answer "if you don't know i feel sorry for you", or something along those lines.

I'd like to try and understand what makes some think their sexual proclivities are less or more perverse than other folks.

I recall as a teenager, sitting around with my friends shooting the shit. We'd discuss all sorts of topics. One day, homosexuality came up. We all agreed that watching two beautiful females kissing would be pleasing. But, when visualizing two men kissing on the mouth, their grisly beards scratching against one another, the reactions became mixed.
Now, none of us were bigots as teenagers, but I wondered, what caused some kids to swing towards bigotry in adulthood, and others to lean towards acceptance and inclusion?

Big question deserves a big answer and I don't have one.

Nor can I relate to people who are threatened by gays and/or lesbians (here we refer to both as being 'gay"). My first interaction with a gay man was when I was 10 turning 11. I inherited a paper route in a trailer court, one resident of which was said to be "swish". He was my bes customer.

I wonder if that opposition is really caused by latent desires, or fear of being labelled "different"?

In closing, I find it amusing that so many misconceptions remain steadfast in so many people.

There is no such thing as cis.
It is a made-up crap word.

So is the word "crap".

So is most of the English language, dominated by 'wordsmithing' or inventing a new and different language from French, German, Italian, and Arabic!

By the way...most English speaking people don't consider American English as a language at all. Seriously, what the **** is a "Yawl! as in "Yawl don't speak proper American!

My day is MADE. An American giving lessons in English !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine was when I was about 12. We had a house party and a couple of my Mom's "gay" friends attended. I didn't know what "gay" was. I recall i saw them as very outgoing, charming friendly folks whom my Mother was very fond of. Living near Hollywood gave me a chance to meet all kinds growing up. My Mom was friends with Lou Rawls as well, whom I remember as a very kind and warm person. So I was exposed to all kinds of different people from all different walks and ways of life very early on. I guess those early encounters helped shape my attitude towards folks that were different than myself.

Would a conservative or a MAGA please explain to my why minsters are viewed as being safe and trans people are claimed to be grooming and abusing kids when Catholic bishops oppose a new law requiring them to report child abuse? Take all the time you need to spin this. Kids are safer with trans people and drag queens than they are with priests, ministers and republican politicians.

Catholic leaders in Washington have sued the state over a new law requiring clergy to report suspected child abuse, including details potentially revealed during confession.

The lawsuit, filed last week on behalf of the bishops, alleges Senate Bill 5375, which was signed into law on May 2, violates the First Amendment and the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. The law “puts Roman Catholic priests to an impossible choice: violate 2,000 years of Church teaching and incur automatic excommunication, or refuse to comply with Washington law and be subject to imprisonment, fine, and civil liability,” the lawsuit states.

I don't think trans people groom kids they are victims of grooming.

I also think that we should disregard any Catholic clergy objecting to laws concerning how they conduct their behavior in our country.

If they feel they're being persecuted because they promote perversion in their ranks they can **** off

Well I would say it's probably about equal. But then again there seems to be a lot of history of abuse with regards to trans people and victims of abuse often become perpetrators of it. Then again Catholics who have been groomed into becoming priests probably dealt with the same thing.
See above regarding this.

Interesting.

I grew up in the care of dedicated racists.

If it wasn't blessed by the pope it was 'sinfull' and acting out got you beaten.

Some years ago I was in a group study where we were surveyed about being raised. I learned that my generation was extremely hard treated both at home and school but things began to change by the early70's. IO don't think corporal punishment is legal anymore.

What will stay with me for life is the beatings and how those nuns so, so seemed to enjoy it.

The fact that the Church is opposing that common-sense bill is abominable.

Many churches also have sex abuse liability insurance. They know that they have a problem with priests and ministers.

I'm sorry you had to go through that.
But, in spite of it all, you still turned out good.
Well done.

I don't see much of an answer in this thread, and I can't answer it myself, but here's a hypothesis, at least.

Estrogens and androgens are secreted by apocrine sweat glands beginning at puberty. Skin bacteria, nourished by these special 'stinky' armpit/groin sweat glands, convert them to pheromones like estratetraenol and androstenone. A population of cells in the nose produces GnRH (gonadotropin releasing hormone) which triggers the release of luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone. The first leads to testosterone.

I think these pheromones also are responsible for positive conditioning. Over years you smell many people who produce the pheromone your nose is evolved to smell in your vomeronasal organ; the signal is transmitted by the terminal nerve; and you learn by Pavlov-like conditioning that whatever accompanies that scent is "sexy". That's why mathematical average faces are the most attractive.

However, for people who are monosexual, while I've not read anything known about this idea, there must be an additional response. The other-sex pheromones aren't just ignored. Rather, they send a signal of some sort leading to aversive conditioning. This isn't aversive conditioning like a rat touching an electric wire, that negatively conditions all behavior; but it negatively conditions any tendency to think about sex with those people. Seeing same-sex conditioning, for some people who put themselves in the position of someone of the same sex, might cause them to react aversively.

Note that this opens up a niche for genetic or environmental LGBT as a small fraction of the population with balancing selection. Heterosexual men typically won't look twice at a tall woman, no matter what her feminine attributes. This is just one way in which one can be conditioned to expect a certain feminine pattern of dress and behavior. A bisexual man, on the other hand, sees nothing odd about looking into her level gaze. This might tend to lead to reproductive success.
