I answered No because American values and Muslim values are incompatible.
I know there is a similar poll here but I didnt like the silly twist about adding "if he came out the day before the election" in there
my question is, if you felt the person was qualified by your standards to be president and he was a Muslim would you vote for him, and if not why?
my answer is OF COURSE YES, because if I thought he was qualified his religion doesn't matter.

1.) you obviously dont understand the OP
2.) what you posted above is nothing more than your opinion
3.) in a black/white world void or REALITY can you name ANY religion that has values that are compatible with AMERICAN values?
No way....because the Koran, islams book, refers to America as the great satan, and Islam is a political religion Moreno than any other, you can't have one without the other... I could go on and on but that sums it up in a nutshell
Really? I didn't know America was featured in the Koran. Could you point to where?
1.) David Watson did understand -- in their view being "qualified" means, in part, that the candidate in question is not a Muslim.
2.) You just described the lion's share of the traffic on this forum.
3.) Depends on how you define "American values," I guess.

1.) then he is very uneducated about the subject at hand
2.) agreed but people need to understand this and identify their opinion
3.) disagree, there is no religion that "i" know of that that are compatible with american values, american values are documented in laws and the constitution and our freedoms, rights and liberties, i dont get to define them, but I could vote to redefine them a little
1.)No argument from me.
2.)You asked for opinions. It's reasonable that opinions would follow.
3.)No. American values have changed over the course of our history, right along side the American people. Values are static only if they are held as a constant by the people who hold them, and this has not been the case in the United States.
You HAVE to be joking. No way....because the Koran, islams book, refers to America as the great satan, and Islam is a political religion Moreno than any other, you can't have one without the other... I could go on and on but that sums it up in a nutshell

All you people who think Muslims pose no threat to this country wake up amd look around....Look at all the other Muslim Nations that have Sharia Law. How many of them are really our friends?....You can count them on one hand and if we did not give them billions of dollars there would be even less. Even in countries like England and France where they have huge Muslim populations have problems......Like I said before Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. I believe right now we have 1 Muslim in Congress...That could change quickly. Please think about it.....It could happen.
Isn't one.BTW, where's the actual "poll" in this poll?
Isn't one.
As I've stated before in another thread, I voted no...........I just couldn't bear to see the First Lady in a burka.

What we must understand is that Islam has its own vision of the world and man's place in it.
To say that Islam is incompatible with democracy should not be seen as a disparagement of Islam.
On the contrary, many Muslims would see it as a compliment because they sincerely believe that their idea of rule by God is superior to that of rule by men which is democracy.
You are right. In fact, any of the misguided infidels who'd argue otherwise are really looking at things through their own chauvinistic goggles.
