Constitutionally protected rights...rights not mentioned in the Constitution.Owning a gun, birthing a child...ponders.
Quit yer hoplophile whining. 2A is not unlimited. “It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose”.then you are nothing more than a hypocrite and have absolutely no leg to stand on. You CANNOT with any shred of integrity get upset that supreme court justices might make rulings that eliminate previous rulings...settled law...while at the same time demanding that the rights of law abiding citizens, specifically enumerated in the Constitution and supported by ruling...should be overturned or eliminated. Similarly...if you support state governments infringing on federally protected rights, but dont think state governments should be able to enact laws on abrotion or gay marriage...again...you are shredding your own integrity and arguments.
And if a pregnant single woman must chose between a dodgy back-alley abortion procedure or 12 years of welfare poverty, well, that's just what she deserves.Just what the forum needed. Another ancient, conservative guy telling women that losing the right to determine the outcomes of their pregnancies is no big deal.
Bull ****ing shit like the million other times right wingers trry this bullshit. It's not even comparablethen you are nothing more than a hypocrite and have absolutely no leg to stand on. Metal is king.Constitutionally protected rights...rights not mentioned in the Constitution.
Yes, its right there in the text "A well regulated militia.." Why do you people lie? Oh, but that is separate from right to bear arms is the typical BS. So I guess when its convenient its not right in the text?VanceMack is correct.
The Second Amendment is an enumerated, explicit right. It's right there in plain text, yet some try to say it doesn't mean what it says.
Roe established an "implied" right to an abortion, through an interpretation of the Constitution which was widely considered controversial and questionable.
To treat the latter as inviolate principle while working to destroy the first is illogical and inconsistent... but since when has politics ever been logical, let alone consistent.

Right. Apples and oranges. You are comparing women's bodies to a consumer good.
Exactly what gun rights have been stepped on. I bet you can buy and sell as many guns as you want, except for automatic weapons as they would be an offensive weapon rather than a defensive weapon. The court ruled that the 2nd Amendment is for defense, so no violation there. And what laws have been passed in the past few years that restrict your right to have guns. In fact, almost all of the newer gun laws have expanded your right to not only own guns, but to wear them concealed or openly and have increased the places where you can take weapons. Most of the laws restricting weapons are there to protect the public, like keeping weapons out of the people who have mental problems, are terrorists, or have been convicted felons. Are you saying that those should be able to have weapons? And what does gay marriage have to do with your argument. The argument about guns and abortion come down to killing, while gay marriage does not.then you are nothing more than a hypocrite and have absolutely no leg to stand on.
