If you are against abortion, why?

What other rights did you have in mind? The right to life is the most important. After all, the rest of them are no good if you’re dead.

You shouldn’t take the right to life away from women. Doctors should do everything they can to protect both mother and baby.
Every year, women die of medically unforeseeable complications in late pregnancy and childbirth, and no doctor will take the responsibility for the death. Will you?

As long as women have the right to choose abortion for some significant portion of pregnancy, if they choose to continue, it's their responsibility. But if they die because they did not have a legal choice during the pregnancy and medical doctors could not foresee the complications, their deaths are on you.

A fetus has no right to life until it has a healthy chance of being viable outside the womb. Those already born have the right to life, liberty and happiness. If adding a child or another child harms those already born then their freedoms are denied. Taking away freedoms is close to dead. That's morally wrong. There is no moral wrong in abortion of the fetus when it is non-sentient, non-feeling, non-aware, unable to breathe, filter wastes, digest or circulate nutrients.

A foetus is a human being. That is a fact. I am not religious, but I come at this from the Rights of Man.

And the evidence proves me right. Abortion doctors in New York were tossing babies on piles of medical waste.

Planned Parenthood was started by a racist eugenics advocate, trying to exterminate the blacks.

A mother does not automatically have the right to murder her baby.

Slavery used to be the law. In China, it was legal for Mao to kill the landlords. The law is always evolving. It is meant to slowly get better.
Wow... so much random shit and so little time...

Then what's wrong with killing your wife for "family reasons?"

I don't really care if women want to get abortions in the 1st Trimester.

If they wanna lay on a table and have their uterus scraped out by surgical grade stainless steel and then vacuumed, that's their business, but I shouldn't have to pay for it.
You (we) pay for all sorts of things that we don't want to pay for... but that benefit society. Get used to it. It is called being a responsible adult.

If you have a penis inside of you, you have part of another human body inside of you. However, if you did not fully and freely consent to that body part being inside of you, and particularly if you said, "No," then the person does not have the right to have his penis inside of you.

The next time you awaken and discover that the penis of a strange man very unattractive to you is uncomfortably in your vagina without your full and free consent, and is using significant force to prevent you from forcing him out of your body
One can discuss abortion without all the rape porn shit... FFS.

Raising a child to 18 costs about $180,000.

That's only if you use disposable diapers and buy your kids $100 Nike shoes and $600 iPhones.

OK cut it in half for people living at or below the poverty line. $90,000 x 400,000 children that are alive because abortion was banned = $36,000,000,000 every 18 years and that's not counting the costs of additional schools, day care, counseling, welfare workers, housing, parks, programs, transportation medical costs etc. But that is only one year's worth of children not aborted. Every year there are 400,000 more. In 18 years there are 7,200,000 more people in the US and then they start reproducing. We either spend the money to support these extra children or we risk social and economic collapse.

Legal abortion and supporting the cost of the most effective women's birth control (IUDs, hormone implants, hormone injections) makes way more sense than banning abortion and adding 400,000 unwanted children and $2,000,000,000 (that's billion) to welfare costs every year just to satisfy some religious sects nosy old men and women who want to make sure women get punished for having sex.

I am a responsible adult. None of my women ever needed an abortion.

This isn't porn. It is the vulgarity of specificity to which we have been reduced by the anti-abortion people. They do not get that, if a woman did not agree to pregnancy, she is having her internal body violated in a way that can compare to a specific criminal violation even more compelling that that in Judith Jarvis Thompson's argument.

No. It is a ridiculous and inaccurate comparison.
