The next time that the extreme right wingers, who took over the capital building, return to Washington to riot again, they will not meet just an overwhelmed police force if do, they will meet the National Guard and even the military. If things then get out of hand the military could use live rounds and they have the kind of fire power that can lead to bloodshed on both sides, but especially on the side of the terrorists who are rioting. What then I ask? Will the right wing media like Fox News and Newsmax blame the government, you bet they will. We have already had four deaths due to the attempted insurrection, do we really need more? Get over it and stop being sore losers. There was no fraud sufficient to change the course of the election. Trump lost and Biden won one of the fairest elections in history of this country. That was told to you by Trump's own official and by all of the contested states election officials. Fox et al. will not do anything different as long as they are making money. They will need to be dealt with differently by the people.

Sporting MAGA clothing or signs while protesting peacefully is not suspicious behavior. It is, perhaps, not the smartest position to be in, but being stupid alone is not a crime, and the first amendment guarantees everyone a right to protest peaceably, no matter how dumb the cause.

Not allowing firearms to be brandished during the protest wouldn't be a bad idea, however.

I try to be careful not to fall into the same trap as those who see rioting and looting by criminals during a BLM protest and assume that this represents the BLM movement, and assuming all MAGA supporters are potentially violent is crossing that line IMO.

The people who invaded the capitol were criminal insurrectionists and borderline domestic terrorists who supported Donald Trump. Perhaps the people who still support him are implicitly supporting this kind of behavior, but we can't criminalize simple membership in a cult. We can imprison a cult leader who committed a crime and any supporters who also engaged in criminal behavior. But some are just law abiding members who are misguided, and those people still have a right to believe what they want and protest things they don't like.
