It's not that they're stupid it's that they believe stupid things.

Interestingly enough this comes out of bias. The more educated you become the better you are a rationalizing things including biases. Every human is biased. The smarter we are the better we are at rationalizing it. So I think many leftists are very smart that's how they come up with some of the most irrational crap they come up it's intelligent but irrational like wokism.

Woke types will tell you sex is a spectrum and that's preposterous.

This is an example of what's coined a fashionable irrational belief. An example of one from the 1800s what someone wanting to justify their bias toward keeping slaves said that slaves wanting to escape slavery where suffering from a mental illness. Something so ridiculous only an academic could come up with it.

I say this understanding that I am biased and it's good to understand that you are too. Biases are combated through curiosity and humbleness.

I think we're intolerant of different things. (Some) MAGA are intolerant of people for simply being who they are, irrespective of their character. (Some) Liberals are intolerant of people because they find their rhetoric, beliefs, etc. not only objectionable but dangerous.

Well there's a delicate balance between being open-minded but not self and minded that your brain falls out.
