If it helps your side, do you support cheating in an election?

Do you support cheating if it helps your side?

The people who support open cheating rationalize their position by continuing to narrow their definition of cheating. Rest assured, though, that if Republicans openly stuffed ballot boxes on live television, they'd simply redefine the meaning of "cheating."

That's the Democrat thing.

No it's not.

Kansas Republican charged with three felonies in voter fraud investigation.

Republicans prevent people from voting.

Yes, that too. Voter suppression has been a staple used by conservatives from the beginning. When the Democratic Party represented conservatives, the Three-Fifths Compromise and then Jim Crow suppressed. Today, with the Republican Party representing conservatives, we see highly select poll closures in minority communities, documented racial gerrymandering in which the Supreme Court had to rule, and now we see the GOP pretending that absentee ballots are a problem. Out of this, they will turn around and wrongfully declare that millions of illegals voted for Clinton, promoting their tactic of accusing the other of their game. The GOP's playbook has increasingly become more and more filthy, to the point, where Texas can shamelessly close hundreds and hundreds of select polls across their state and simply shrug at the nation's widespread criticism. Hell, it's come to the point where the GOP actually looks away when their White House piece of **** actively tried to enlist a foreign government's help to interfere with an American election. Even treason is an official play in their book now.

Both sides are right when they say the other side cheats. Mail voting makes cheating much easier.

For the most part, it only matters in close elections.

It doesn't really matter at all because there is no evidence that voter fraud has ever been a problem worth exaggerating as the GOP consistently does.

And mail-in-voting does not make cheating easier. Notice that this declaration is never quantified by those who blanket it out to the American people. If they do try to quantify it, they simply present more blanket nonsense like dead people will vote. But these are the steps involved with cheating via a mail-in-vote:

1) You have to know a dead person.
2) You have to know that they were registered to vote when they were alive.
3) Then you have to request an absentee ballot sent to your address, not theirs, which means that you have to redo their entire voter's registration, which means that you need to know personal information.
4) And if you manage to get past these things, now you have to know what the dead person's signature looked like, which is on the record.
5) Now, if all of this effort has panned out so far, now you must risk a felony in the hopes that your scam doesn't cross the desk of a periodic list checker.

If it manages to get past all of this, congratulations. You cheated with the reward of a single insignificant vote. Certainly worth seven years in prison if caught.

In the meantime, this "fear" of mail-in-voting is a scam.

- 5 states already have universal mail-in-voting automatically.
- 29 states allow you to request an absentee ballot for any reason.
- 16 states require a reason for an absentee ballot, in which 5 have not allowed coronavirus to be a reason.

Again, the GOP is just arguing for more suppression during a pandemic. Those who do not want to risk COVID are almost certainly not voting for Trump. In other words, the GOP's line is that if you wish to vote for Biden, you will risk death to do it. That's our great American democracy today. That's how much they care about an American's Right. Trying to spread the wealth around in a way that implies that both sides are equal cheats merely excuses the actual cheat. This is like excusing the 500 pound glutton in the room because the skinny guy ate half a bag of chips.
