You need a non of the above box. As in no country will invade.
Agree. If they do and a NATO country is attacked the response will be with drones and special forces.

It would be near a political suicide to launch anything remotely similar to a large scale invasion of Afghanistan again, simply because the logistical capability will likely be non-existent. More than likely any resurgence of Islamic terrorism coming from Afghanistan will be met by small groups of special forces operating out of Pakistan or Tajikistan.

Did Afghan terrorists leave Afghan borders? I don't remember them attacking anyone.

I think an equally important question is how.

Bin Laden was the leader of the 9/11 attacks. We went into Afghanistan because the Taliban refused to hand him over.

We finally killed Bin Laden in 2008. More than a decade later we're still over there, just now starting to leave. Why? The objective was never to rebuild a nation and install a democracy. The objective was to take out the leadership of a terrorist organization that was directly responsible for 9/11. We moved our own goal posts and accomplished nothing by doing so, other than creating an entire generation of dead and maimed soldiers.

If Afghanistan starts spewing out terrorists again, then we try to work with the local government, and if/when that doesn't work, we surgically take out the terrorist leadership. But we do not go back over there to try and build a democratic nation that nobody there seems to want.

I see that you have forgotten that the WTC/Pentagon mass murderers were NOT Afghans (this makes your "spewing out" look rather silly.

If that did come to pass, the Taliban will be bombed into dust by Nato. A full scale invasion i doubt, the USSR and US have both had a turn. With minimum long term effect.

Having seen the consequences of allowing non-Taliban people to operate out of Afghanistan (and with Pakistan more than willing to accommodate those people) I rather suspect that the Taliban will NOT be quite so "accommodating" as it was to Osama bin Laden and his crew.

Saudi Arabia will simply have to find a new venue in which the terrorists it pays to stay away from Saudi Arabia can operate.

I do not think either of those countries is likely to be amenable to such a thing, especially Pakistan. Drone strikes will be incredibly difficult because of distance and lack of fidelity. There are no "good" options that I am tracking for OTH targeting / response options.

If major terrorist attacks start emanating from Afghanistan again, then Dems will just say Trump & Co are to blame for it, and the media will ignore and turn a blind eye to the attacks

Where did yesterday's drone fly from?

Or maybe a drone strike.

But not ours because those Pakistan is making us leave and Putin has made it clear no NATO forces stationed in CIS countries

True

Its a valid question as we know strategic airstrikes have limited success against terrorist who hide in caves.

Don't be silly!

Pakistan is one of "America's Best Buddies in The War on Terror" and you know it. Why Pakistan has never had anything whatsoever to do with arming, supporting, or sheltering terrorists and that whole BS story about Osama bin Laden being found in Pakistan was a lie by the Democrats to cover up the illegal "election" of a Kenyan Socialist to the office of President of the United States of America.

The Taliban themselves will put a stop to it. They themselves have a strong interest in keeping the violent Islamists at bay. They are staying afloat only because of US/European aid, and they are in no mood to let the Islamists be an excuse for any of those guys to cut their aid, let alone invade and take them out of power again for another 20 years or something.

The US showed just a few years ago that a good MOAB bomb takes care of those pretty well.

There will be no invasion, perhaps surgical strikes.

The US hasn't been all that "surgical" with its "surgical strikes" lately and isn't likely to see an improvement in accuracy where it doesn't actually have any current, first-hand, reliable, information to base them on.
