Looks like we will have to face the fact.....when it comes to helicopters. The M.E. is Thunderstruck. Although, I am wondering why any would start selling them Maritime selections.

The protracted fight against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) will cast a long shadow over military requirements in the region, particularly in the rotorcraft sector. For helicopter manufacturers and systems suppliers, the conflict provides a ready-cooked sales-pitch about the utility of attack/scout helicopters and the need for viable and responsive CSAR coverage.

You also have funding and sponsoring business patterns. If you look at, for instance, Lebanon they are buying some French helicopters being funded by Saudi Arabia. That was not necessarily planning and looking at the budgets, again it’s really driven by the geopolitical threat.’

But one specific growth area is the procurement of advanced maritime helicopters, according to current forecasts. While Russian Helicopters and Turkish Aerospace Industries with the T129 are increasingly seen as strong alternative to Western manufacturers, the politics at play means that US companies in particular as still well-placed. ‘American manufacturers are still the best placed in the region, Boeing as the leader,’ Leboulanger argued. The top choice will always be American – it’s like “made in Germany” for cars when it comes to helicopters.’.....snip~

Well I thought for sure these US companies would catch some flak. Especially from those that see the US as the Problem, and from our left leaning brethren too.
