This isn't about lawbreaking. It's about ICE being above the law. It's about an ICE agent detaining you illegally. It's about you being powerless to hold ICE accountable. It's about fascism. It's all in the OP.

What you list carry penalties for which offenders (citizens, immigrants or those here illegally) can be penalized civilly or prosecuted criminally. That has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with granting immigrants due process in immigration court. It’s possible to to keep both ideas in one’s head at the same time.

He’s not a chosen hero, or villain for that matter. This far he is just another example of Trump’s contempt for the law and courts. I and the Democratic Cult would insist that Garcia, and James Earl Ray and Lee Harvey Oswald - and even Donald Trump - be given due process. Trump and some of his MAGA cultists, on the other hand, take the position equivalent to that of lynch mobs, where accusations are the equivalent of verdicts.

I don't see any white asylum seekers from Georgia or black seekers from Libya, Congo, Sudan or Nigeria arrested. I don't see a single Latin gang like MS13, L.A. Mafia or the38th Street Gang members arrested. All I see is people arrested often at their work places not street thugs as described by Porky Pig.

P.S. Name former presidents that have used the F bomb live on the air proving he is a loose cannon with zero self control.

No, the leg irons and shackles are to demonstrate to the television audience what a serious "crime" this is, even though there is no victim. It's the same sort of political theater as a show trial.

As long as our agencies and law enforcement also are in compliance with the law, sure. Absolutely. But when they aren't...there is no excuse.

Inevitably, the masked, cryptic activities of the I.C.E. are going to inspire kidnap gangs, possibly cartel affiliated, to begin mimicking them to take people. I expect the same day that a billionaire starts getting pieces of a daughter in the mail, the government will get some old time religion about the appropriateness of maintaining gangs of masked armed men lurking about on street corners and in parking lots.

That's not to say ICE won't continue doing enforcement of immigration laws, but they can't keep playing anonymity games for long.

they are arresting them in courthouses. The only reason to do that is to intimidate others so they are too afraid to show up for theirs. It's not the way we are supposed to act.
