I will give up my guns IF....

Nope, but I understand crime statistics.

In Asia, mostly safe. Can walk around any part of the city day or night with money strapped to me and not worry about being violently robbed.

I can leave my door unlocked.

etc.
I can do the same in the United States. Been living here for 56 years, never once been robbed, mugged, shot at, or had my house broken into. I do have firearms, but never had to use one for defense, not even close.

Are you saying all of Laos is safe? No higher levels of crime in population centers?

the government can guarantee the safety of myself and loved ones.

which is impossible, so hell no to taking my guns.
Even in keeping your guns it is impossible that you can guarantee the safety of yourself or your loved ones.

So, meh.

If a government agent shows up to collect our gun safe, I'll be very surprised. However, I am beginning to support an idea that i came up with.
Others might have already thought of this because it's fairly obvious. It's a significant tax on ammunition, similar to the tax on cigarettes. It will be used to help children whose parents would have otherwise chosen to abort before the court was instructed to rescind this right. We need to be thinking about this, as pro-life does not end at delivery, and bullets kill a lot of people.

Your family is statistically less safe with your guns than without them.

Funny.

Strict gun laws in Laos, and you don’t feel the need to carry a gun.

Funny how that works.

Funny,

Somalia out right bans guns and I feel the need to carry a gun.

Funny how that works hahaha

Did you tell your government that you had a legitimate reason (eg, hunting) for owning your guns when you registered them or do you have them illegally?
Registered?

It's like a vicious cycle isn't it. The guns are what put you in harms way, so you need the gun to protect yourself. At some point we need to break the cycle.

The more guns people buy, the more we are in danger.
Except your premise isn't true.

OP is posting from Laos, so thought he was a Laos citizen. We have alot of foreigners on this site pretending to be US citizens, not sure this is one.

That might be interpreted as an infringement.

So a tax on a right is unconstitutional?
There is a right to keep and bear arms as part of a well regulated militia. It doesn't say anything about ammo.

Don't you people ever remember the thousands of times we've shot down the ammo argument?

Don't you like strict originalism? I thought you guys were all about that. Here, have an awkward and unnecessary comma,.
