means what he says. He is not perfect but he is good. Congrats to GWB on a 2nd term. :D

:agree

I agree. Here's to another important 4 years. I hope GWB is able to accomplish everything he wants to.

Well, if you mean the part about upholding the Constitution, he threw that out the window practically as soon as he came to office. :(

LOL Means what he says...

There is no cave deep enough for America, or dark enough to hide.

A free society is one in which will mean more likely a peaceful partner in a troubled neighborhood.

The American people know that Saddam Hussien has weapons of mass destruction. By the way, he declared he didn't have any.
(DOH! George W. Bush March 6, 2003)

You know, the world looks at us and say, "They're strong," and we are. We're strong militarily. We've got a greater strength than that. We've got a, a strength in the universonality of human rights and the human condition.

*shakes head in disgust*
What a bloody moron.

Seems as though all of the countries at the U.N. were fooled

also then by the Weapons of Mass Destruction. The only difference we acted, after being brutally attacked, they stayed on the sidelines. There is a famous quote that says "all it takes for a democracy to fail is for good people to stand by and do nothing." That would be your do-good liberals, such as Kennedy, Boxer, Schumer, Jesse Jackson, Al Franken, Michael Moore etc.

gay-bo and hay-bo disagree without giving specifics. How typical lib
That was uncalled for and is an insult to my name.

Now on to the specifics.
"the right of the people to keep and bear Arms" - this is highly regulated, violates constitution

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." - under Patriot Act II, government officials can raid your home without a warrant OR probable cause. All they need to say is, "we think they're a lone wolf terrorist", which leaves judgement up to ordinary policemen.

"nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted" - US has brutally tortured plenty of Iraquis.

but most importantly of all,
"liberty to the fullest extent" is violated constantly with almost every law passed by our legislative system. Regulations on what we can consume, money stolen to fund special interests that many people don't want. The list never ends on how much this is violated.

PS: I am not a liberal.

You'll have to show me where Iraq brutally attacked the United States. The reasons given by GWB for invading Iraq were not in retalliation for the events of 9/11.

WASHINGTON – The White House said Thursday that it had "solid" evidence Iraq possesses weapons of mass destruction. "Iraq has lied before, and they're lying now about whether they possess weapons of mass destruction," said White House spokesman Ari Fleischer.

"President Bush has said Iraq has weapons of mass destruction." "Donald Rumsfeld has said Iraq has weapons of mass destruction.

President Bush has vowed to lead a "coalition of the willing" to forcibly disarm Iraq if Saddam Hussein fails to do so voluntarily.

Quote:
We know that Saddam Hussein pursued weapons of mass murder even when inspectors were in his country. Are we to assume that he stopped when they left? The history, the logic, and the facts lead to one conclusion: Saddam Hussein's regime is a grave and gathering danger. To suggest otherwise is to hope against the evidence. To assume this regime's good faith is to bet the lives of millions and the peace of the world in a reckless gamble. And this is a risk we must not take.

Delegates to the General Assembly, we have been more than patient. We've tried sanctions. We've tried the carrot of oil for food, and the stick of coalition military strikes. But Saddam Hussein has defied all these efforts and continues to develop weapons of mass destruction. The first time we may be completely certain he has a -- nuclear weapons is when, God forbids, he uses one. We owe it to all our citizens to do everything in our power to prevent that day from coming.

Address by Bush 10/7/02 (SOURCE: WHITEHOUSE.GOV)
Quote:
The threat comes from Iraq. It arises directly from the Iraqi regime's own actions -- its history of aggression, and its drive toward an arsenal of terror. Eleven years ago, as a condition for ending the Persian Gulf War, the Iraqi regime was required to destroy its weapons of mass destruction, to cease all development of such weapons, and to stop all support for terrorist groups. The Iraqi regime has violated all of those obligations. It possesses and produces chemical and biological weapons. It is seeking nuclear weapons.

First, some ask why Iraq is different from other countries or regimes that also have terrible weapons. While there are many dangers in the world, the threat from Iraq stands alone -- because it gathers the most serious dangers of our age in one place. Iraq's weapons of mass destruction are controlled by a murderous tyrant who has already used chemical weapons to kill thousands of people. This same tyrant has tried to dominate the Middle East, has invaded and brutally occupied a small neighbor, has struck other nations without warning, and holds an unrelenting hostility toward the United States.

The time for denying, deceiving, and delaying has come to an end. Saddam Hussein must disarm himself -- or, for the sake of peace, we will lead a coalition to disarm him.

There is no easy or risk-free course of action. Some have argued we should wait -- and that's an option. In my view, it's the riskiest of all options, because the longer we wait, the stronger and bolder Saddam Hussein will become. We could wait and hope that Saddam does not give weapons to terrorists, or develop a nuclear weapon to blackmail the world. But I'm convinced that is a hope against all evidence.

Everyone remember this gem from Ari Fleischer? (SOURCE: WHITEHOUSE.GOV)
Quote:
Quote:Q Can we presume that the President is very happy that Mr. Blix says there is no smoking gun in the search for weapons in Iraq?

MR. FLEISCHER: Well, the problem with guns that are hidden is you can't see their smoke.

Bush, addressing the US, March 17th, 2003 (SOURCE: WHITEHOUSE.GOV)
Quote:
For more than a decade, the United States and other nations have pursued patient and honorable efforts to disarm the Iraqi regime without war. That regime pledged to reveal and destroy all its weapons of mass destruction as a condition for ending the Persian Gulf War in 1991.

Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised.

It is too late for Saddam Hussein to remain in power. It is not too late for the Iraqi military to act with honor and protect your country by permitting the peaceful entry of coalition forces to eliminate weapons of mass destruction.

Ari Fleischer gives us THE SMOKING GUN (SOURCE: WHITEHOUSE.GOV)
Quote:
Q But Iraq is the sole goal?

MR. FLEISCHER: The President has made repeatedly clear to the American people, as he said in his address to the nation the other night, that the purpose of this is the disarmament of the Iraqi regime

What's great about all of that strong, angry, and confident rhetoric is that after two years of searching, the White House gave up looking without giving an apology to the Iraqi people, the UN, other countries, or the American people.
SOURCE: CBC News:
WASHINGTON - After nearly two years of looking, the White House is giving up its search for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

White House press secretary Scott McClellan said Wednesday that the Iraq Survey Group, a team of 1,200 military and intelligence specialists and support staff, has stopped actively looking for the weapons.

He said the experts would only act to follow up reports that banned arms had been discovered.

U.S. President George Bush and other leaders, including British Prime Minister Tony Blair, accused former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein of stockpiling weapons. They used that as a justification for the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003.

I liked Bush's words and actions right after 9-11 and I supported the war in Afghanistan. That's it. The Iraq War was fought for suspect reasons in my eyes and I despise his economic and social policies.

I support GWB, the Afgan war is for the right reason and the Iraq war was right motives and reason, Saddam HAD WMDs, whether at the exact time we attacked or they destoryed them before, I don't know. Saddam was also a crazy dictator, you can't deny that, and he didn't need to be in power. Read a history book and you'll think the same as me.

We've supported crazy dictators in the past, though. I recommend you put that history book down if you want to support the war.

I support the war more than most of the morons in this country. You have a very typical respondance, not every president is the same. Bush has returned to fighting for the right side, not just the ruling gov. just cuz it's the ruling gov.

That's the best sentence I've read all day. Mostly because it could be interpreted that you support the war more than the other war supporters who are morons.

:applaud

(pat on the back). I understand what you are saying but let me give you a little advise...

1) Slow down
2) Take a deep breath
3) Try to make a strong statement based on facts.
4) Pray (lol)
5) Then start typing

Actually, I think I agree with what your trying to say. Just say it a little better.

:)

You support the war for emotional reasons then, not logical ones.
