Reagan was President during the 1981 recession.

Bush 41 was President during the 1990 recession.

Bush 43 was President for nearly 8 years when the global economy melted down in 2008.

Trump was President when the pandemic hit.

Only one recession in the past 50 years has had a Democrat in office when it hit, and that's the 2000 recession with Clinton. Not only was that a mild recession, it actually got worse after he got out of office, though that was mostly due to the 9/11 attacks.

Well, his example is anecdotal. Google search is pretty objectively left biased overall though.


They actually got sued by some conservative group over this, but the court found it wasn't intentional and I agree. Google IS intentionally biased towards factual/high quality sources and tries to filter out shitty blogs or conspiratorial sources. Like go ahead and Google "climate hoax" and you'll see EVERY result is evidence of climate change instead of sources against it. It is very difficult to get Google to return any results spreading climate conspiracies.

Besides like, Fox News, a lot of the rest of conservative news sources are literal rag conspiracy trash like Breit Bart or Zero Hedge. Google (rightfully) filters those out of results.

But it doesn't change the fact that if you are a conservative and you search for basically any news story, you are going to get stories that are almost entirely from a left or center perspective. correct me if I am wrong but by law the VP cannot sponsor or cosponsor a Bill. Their role is to vote on Bills when a tie breaker is needed.
