It will never pass the Senate but this is an extremely important topic for the GOP to clearly demonstrate their stance on and as a result of votes, also demonstrate the Dem stance on it. I hope there are numerous campaign ads on this topic and this bill!!!!

Why is this an extremely important topic at all? Shows that your and the RW priorities are not in line with what actually is important in this country.

Pushing a vote on a controversial topic when they know that it stands zero chance of passing...and now the GOP House members are on the record so that their vote can be used against them in upcoming challenges.



This House. They really DO lack any sense of how to play politics and leadership.

Personally, I thought it was much more important that the GOP clearly demonstrate its stance on health care.

Why don't we have a common sense solution that doesn't single out transgenders?

Instead of dithering about defining sex and gender, let the governing bodies for sports for men and women decide the biological parameters for who participates in their sport. If a person wants to participate in a men's event and they exceed the parameters, they are out. If a person wants to participate in a women's event and they exceed they are out.

It has nothing to do with sex or gender, it's based on unfair biological advantages.
 
If you have daughters, like I do, it may be easier to understand.
A girl works hard and trains to be a strong competitor in her chosen sport, only to be crushed in competition by some guy that thinks he's a girl.
Not good at all.

Because it impacts female athletes of all ages and it impacts them greatly. Accomplished athletes pour their lives into the athletic training and allowing biological men to compete with them is super wrong and super important. And it's important to a huge majority of our population - biological girls/women and the parents of these girls.
This matters and matters a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have daughters, like I do, it may be easier to understand why it would have been nice for the GOP to clarity its stance on affordable health care first.

A girl works hard and trains to be a strong competitor in her chosen sport, only to be crushed by health issues that a family cannot afford to properly resolve because the government thought that it was more important that she not have to worry about competing with men as their top concern, and decided to focus on that (and only that).

Not good at all.

I guess the almost nonexistent fraction of 1% of athletes that might one day be impacted by trans playing sports is SO much more important than children dying from gun violence.

Glad to see priorities being clearly spelled out by the GOP though.

You bet votes on record will be used and heavily, in political challenges. Both sides will use the votes of the other side and we'll see how voters respond. Obviously, my opinion as to where voters will land on this topic is opposite of yours.
 
Perhaps this should be filed under..."Bigger Fish to Fry"?
This is nothing but pure Virtue Signaling.
The House GOP needs to be putting an effort into putting together a budget they can agree on and present.
The House GOP needs to be looking into health care and what they can do to improve it.
The House GOP needs to be looking into the banking regulations and trying to figure out what went wrong...maybe take a look at how Canada handles theirs.
The House GOP needs to be looking a climate change and how it will affect our nation in the future.
The House GOP needs to shine a light into those responsible for the Jan 6th insurrection.
The House GOP needs to be figure out what can be done to slow down the death rate from firearms.
