It occurred to me that the Democratic Party - who repeatedly blusters about "threats to democracy" - made the most blatant and conspicuous assault on democracy when they anointed Kamala Harris, and completely sidestepped the democratic process of finding a suitable presidential candidate.

The Democratic process involves holding a Primary Election and let the voters decide who should be the best candidate to represent the Party. But no.

The Democratic Party doesn't give a crap about democracy - - they care about DEI and wokeness, and sheltering illegals and human traffickers from other countries. It's all in the open, now - for all to see. I personally know a married couple - both formerly democrats - who are leaving the Democratic Party, and will register as Independents before the mid-terms.

This probably happens a lot across the country - folks fed up with the rhetoric and nonsense of the Democratic Party, and walking away. The Democratic Party is in decline, and they are also in denial. (Which is great, actually).

Hopefully, someday the Democratic Party could become an insignificant "fringe" party.

Don't know what state you are referring to but in AZ primaries are run by the same state election officials under almost the same regulations as the general.
