I’m actually surprised Melania is going to attend with him, to be honest.

Wonder how much that cost him.
Actually, I'm surprised she's letting him attend. At least she's Catholic.

(According to multiple sources, the first lady — who became the first practicing Catholic in the position since Jackie Kennedy — is religious in private and is "honored" to be attending the papal funeral, regardless of its timing. - it's her 55th birthday.)

Valid points - we’d be better off if she went as a representative and he didn’t.

I could see him going on television to declare himself the most Christian person ever, nobody can be more Christian than him, big grown popes come up to him with tears in their eyes and say Sir, because of Great Respect, they say Sir, how can we be more Christian like you Sir?

He might also get the denominations confused and talk about how Strong Lutherans are and how the next Pope will be Very Strong and Tremendous with his Lutheranism.

Trump will likely try to have himself named Pope like he did with the Lincoln Center. Except no Cardinal would fall for that, and 80-year-olds can't vote.

(MAGA wont get this joke)

We know if Obama was President, Old Michelle wouldn't budge from her throne to attend the funeral.

He will get zero press exposure outside of the US. He'll behave properly publicly but no doubt he'll be an ass in front of the American press.

He and Melania will have third row seats, so there’s a starting point.

That was fun to read
Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the Archbishop of Westminster, told the Telegraph the ceremony would be a “masterpiece of stage management when you consider those state leaders who have high opinions of their importance.”

He'll probably try to crowd someone out of the first row so that he can sit there. And he'll scowl all the way through the ceremony.
Beat me to it. Remember when he shoved his way to the front of the NATO summit? Same thing.

Other than that he'll make tweets about Francis not getting a lot of mourners/very poor ratings for the funeral.

Aha, a birthday trip with a side visit to Milan.

Two Corinthians 3:17, that's the whole ballgame.

Trump will tell the World that he's done more for Christians than the pope did. Shit, that guy couldn't even stay alive.
