How will the Dems handle the Biden/Trump debate problem?

My argument
isn't really an argument it's a personal attack which is your MO.

Do you do this every single time we get a new one argument you make it personal.

Maybe it's because you're emotionally connected to your position maybe it's just because you're terrible at this I don't know.

He doesn't seem to just be stuttering I wouldn't hold that against him. He forgets where he is what year it is what state he's in. Listen to stutter or a speech impediment.

There's a difference between campaign gaffes, like when he forgot what state he was in, and somebody who suffers from speech impediment/stutter/stammer.

We understand that Biden is a gaffe prone, but when the OP specifically mentioned his inability to put sentences together is a DIRECT slam against the PWS (Person with Stutter) community.

The state gaffe was pretty reasonable. He was in the New England area. He was in NH, but when he thought he was in Vermont. Think about it: How many times has comedians or rock bands mentioned the wrong city during one of their shows.

How do you know this isn't a symptom of stuttering? How many times has it happened? How would you perform after travel and in public? I don't know what day it is sometimes. I'm sure you don't either.

If you have to look this closely, you got nothing.

I don't think forgetting Where You Are is a campaign gaffe. Donald Trump's pretty close to his age how many times did he forget what state he was in? How many times did Bernie Sanders forget what state he was in?

will be offended for them I'm sure they appreciate it show that virtuous nobility off.

Besides the studdard the dude has cognitive decline. You can call forgetting where he is a gaffe but he seems to be the only one making them.

That would be fine if he was a comedian for in the rock band but how many times did Bernie Sanders forget what State he was in? how many times did Donald Trump forget what state he was in? How many times did Elizabeth Warren forget what state she was in?

This doesn't seem to be just an honest mistake cuz nobody else is doing it.

No way will there be a debate. The Dems can't take the chance Old Joe will fall apart...

Professional athletes do it all the time too. People who travel a lot have trouble keeping their bearings.

forgetting where you are or what you're it is or what you just said has nothing to do with stuttering.
How many times has it happened? How would you perform after travel and in public? I don't know what day it is sometimes. I'm sure you don't either.
He does something like this just about every time I see him speak. He forgets what he just said, he calls one of his supporters of pony face horse soldier or some s*** like that, he rants about breakfast cereals swinging chains at him or something.

I've never done any of that.
If you have to look this closely, you got nothing.
I'm barely paying attention.

Be honest, you know all that matters is who he picks for vice president cuz that's who's going to serve out his term.

It's a stupid argument. Presidential candidates do a lot of events in a day. They do a lot of traveling and public speaking. Even if he wasn't a PWS, Biden would still be highly likely to once in a while making a slip of the tongue.

It really makes me wonder. If there are debates will they just be sad. They might just blame covid-19 for why there can't be debates

Bernie Sanders didn't, Elizabeth Warren didn't, Donald Trump didn't.

There are a lot of professional athletes who did not either. Does that mean that the ones who do are getting dementia or some other neurological disorder? Until something is released from a medical doctor, it is all just speculation by people observing.

I don't think you like the argument but it's a legitimate argument. Bernie Sanders didn't have this problem you didn't run around making up stories about corn pops or talk about how kids would stroke his leg hair he didn't insult his constituents, he didn't seem to have a problem knowing where he was.

We're not talking about once in a while with slip of the tongue we're talking about serious problems with cognition.

I think you're ignoring this cuz you're hopeful that he wins.

Can Joe even get through two sentences without stepping on his uh.....pee pee? :)
Not without a script.
My guess is they'll try to use the COVID thing as a reason to keep them off the same stage. Maybe some feeding of the questions like CNN did with Hillary.
Damn, and I was looking forward to Trump's ripping his head off and crapping down his neck....

I don't think it matters. Some people want 4 more years of Trump. There is nothing that can happen in a debate that will convince any of them to vote Biden.

There are many, many more who just want Trump out. They don't care about debates, many don't care about Biden, they will just vote for the non Trump candidate.

As for a Biden strategy, it should be to debate as far away from Election Day, as possible.

You're being unreasonable here. I don't keep track of what Sanders-Biden-Trump said on the campaign trail. You somehow found it unbelievable that somebody who was traveling around the New England area, didn't realize they were in NH instead of Vermont. Have you ever been to the New England area before? Last summer I traveled to Maine, and I kept on confusing NH, Vermont and Mass. They are all so closely together.

Despite Biden's stutter/PWS/Speech Impediment, he typically does extremely well in one-on-one debates. He beat Palin and Ryan in the VP debates. There's absolutely no reason at all, why somebody who served in the Senate for 36 years, cannot perform well in a debate.

If they shoots to do it as often as Biden does coupled with the ramblin nonsensical stories in the childish attacks on people yes. Absolutely.

You can wait for absolute definitive proof if that's what it takes to convince you. But most of the planet see something walking like a duck swimming like a duck quacking like a duck they call it a duck.

A president's speaking ability is certainly a requirement, but not the only requirement, and Biden is a far superior speaker than Trump. I don't care that Biden makes verbal mistakes. What I care about is that he can get the work done. I'm pretty sure his cabinet will function effectively with or without misspoken words, and they certainly won't be focusing on them.

I do not pretend that I am not concerned at all. Some of Biden's moments are concerning, but they are still far less concerning than President Trump's 3.5 year debacle. Has President Trump made some good changes? Sure. But most of his changes hurt our country as much as or more than they helped it.

The way President Trump speaks daily is unacceptable from a person in office, let alone the head person in office. President Trump does not seem to believe in democracy based on many of his statements, and he clearly has no grasp on how to lead a country that was founded as a union. This is probably the most divided our country has been since the Confederate States of America was formed.
